The presentation will include a minimum of 7 to a maximum of 10 “CONTENT” slides of information and images for your chosen topic ... IN ADDITION to your 7-10 content slides, you will ALSO include a title page (with your first and last name and block number) and a bibliography (a simple reference list of web site addresses for text and images will be sufficient) on ONE of the following topics:French dessertsFrench breadsFrench cheesesFrench SaucesFrench Agricultural Practices – Sustainable or not?Famous French ChefsThe Michelin Star Chef Rating SystemMy Ideal Culinary Tour of Franceor a topic of your choice to do with French food (see me first before you start)You will have 2 class blocks to work on this assignment at school, so you will likely need to work on and finish it at home. That’s perfectly okay, as long as you stay on task during class. **Use Google-Slides, Google-Docs or Microsoft PowerPoint Online to allow you to access your project from any computer.Your slide show should be “Saved As” your block number, followed by your first name and last initial (Example: 5 Jane D). This may be followed by the topic (Breads, Chefs, Desserts, etc.) in the title. You will send an “Invitation to Edit” (or invitation to view) to our special email account for projects. The email address is MsVsFoodsProjects@ . Please be sure spelling is EXACT or it will fail to deliver. Watch your inbox for a “Failure to deliver” notice after sending. The subject line for the invitation should be the same as your project (Example: 5 Jane D) and MAY also include the topic. Please DO NOT send your project to my work email listed on the school web site, or it may be deleted without opening. You will be marked 50% on content (how well and accurately you covered your chosen topic & followed guidelines above & on the mark sheet) and 50% on overall creative design of your slides. This includes how your slides look, readability of the text, appropriate number of pictures &/or clip art, special effects, etc. and the 7/7 guide (keep to about 7 words per line and 7 lines per slide). See mark sheet on other side. All projects must be submitted no later than: ________________________________________________.TIPS:Define unfamiliar terms. Assume the reader knows nothing about cooking or French foods at all. If you can’t define the term/word without looking it up, assume your audience can’t either & include a definition.Make sure your choice of font and colour is readable. If the background is too brightly coloured, your text will be unreadable unless you select and highlight with a white/light coloured highlighter.Be sure that some of the text/writing is summarized in your own words. Point form is okay. However, do try to add some details or fun facts. Don’t include recipes, but you may talk about some of the main or unusual ingredients used.Wikipedia is NOT an acceptable reference source. You must use a minimum of 3 sources that are NOT Wikipedia. Wikipedia may be used only as a source of ideas for different (OTHER) websites to explore.Your “bibliography” need not be presented in a formal format. A simple list of the URLs (“web addresses”) of ALL websites used, whether for ideas, text OR images will be sufficient. Simply highlight & copy the address and paste it on to a final slide or slides at the end of your presentation.
