Replacing Battery

When the low battery symbol shows on the LCD display (8), open the Battery door (13) at the bottom, replace the exhausted battery with 2 pieces of new alkaline “AAA” batteries, and then close it.

Note: The batteries use to maintain clock function only. Please use the supplied AC/DC adapter to operate full function of the radio unit.

Setting Normal Time

Plug the AC/DC adapter into the AC outlet, the clock starts to enter the radio controlled clock mode. The LCD display(8) initially shows:

-L: 0~5 receiving signal strength, 5 indicates signal level OK, 0~4 signal is weak

- 00-59 second counter

- OFF: Alarm off mode

- The receiving tower symbol starts to blink. It indicates that the unit has entered the time signal-receiving mode.

- If this unit is within the signal area, after receiving successfully, the clock will show the correct time and work normally. The blinking tower symbol becomes steady.

- The clock will receive the time signal once a day to auto-adjust at midnight.

- If the unit is out of the signal area, press MODE button (1) once, the clock changes to normal clock mode and keeps running incorrectly. To set the correct time, hold SET button (5) for 2 seconds to enter set mode.

Year/Month/Date setting

- The LCD display (8) shows the year digits is flashing, then press UP (2) or DOWN (4) button to set year.

- Press MODE button (1) once to flash the month digits, then press UP (2) or DOWN (4) button to set the month

- Press MODE button (1) once again to flash the date digits, then press UP (2) or DOWN (4) to set date. Press SET (5) once to continue time setting.

Time Setting

- After entering set mode, press SET button (5) once to flash the hour digits, then press UP (2) or DOWN (4) button to set the hour

- Press MODE button (1) once to flash the minute digits, then press UP (2) or DOWN (4) to set the minute.

- Press MODE button (1) once again to finish the time setting or press SET button (5) to continue alarm time setting.

Setting Alarm Time

To set alarm1 time:

- Hold SET button (5) for 2 seconds to enter set mode, press SET button (5) twice to show [pic]symbol and flash the alarm hour digits, then press UP (2) or DOWN (4) button to set alarm1 hour.

- Press MODE button (1) once to flash the alarm minute digits, then press UP (2) or DOWN (4) button to set alarm1 minute.

- Press MODE button (1) once again to finish alarm1 setting (all digits steady) or press SET button (5) to continue alarm2 time setting.

To set alarm2 time:

- Hold SET button (5) for 2 seconds to enter set mode, press SET button (5) three times to show the [pic]symbol and flash the alarm hour digits, then press UP (2) or DOWN (4) button to set alarm2 hour.

- Press MODE button (1) once to flash the alarm minute digits, then press UP (2) or DOWN (4) button to set alarm2 minute.

- Press MODE button (1) once again to finish alarm2 setting (all digits steady) or press SET button (5) to continue zone setting.

Setting Alarm ON/OFF

To set alarm1 ON:

Press ALARM1 button (2) until the display shows both the alarm time and the [pic] symbols. Press MODE button (1) until it returns to the normal month and date display.

To set alarm1 OFF:

Press ALARM1 button (2) until the display shows both the OFF and [pic]symbols. Press MODE button (1) until it returns to the normal month and date display.

To set alarm2 ON:

Press ALARM2 button (4) until the display shows both the alarm time and the [pic] symbols. Press MODE button (1) until it returns to the normal month and date display.

To set alarm2 OFF:

Press ALARM2 button (4) until the display shows both the OFF and [pic] symbols. Press MODE button (1) until it returns to the normal month and date display.

Wake to Radio:

If the ON/OFF/ALARM/RADIO slide switch (7) sets to RADIO position, the radio will be on automatically when the preset alarm time is reached.

Wake to Alarm:

If the ON/OFF/ALARM/RADIO slide switch(7) sets to ALARM position, the alarm will be on for 2 minutes automatically when the preset alarm time is reached.

Snooze:

Press the SNOOZE/Y2K/LIGHT button (6) once within 2 minutes (or 2 minutes later the alarm will stop automatically) to stop radio or alarm temporarily and give you an extra 8 minutes to sleep. Within this period, the symbol ‘SNOOZE’ shows on the LCD display (8). After 8 minutes, radio or alarm will be on again. It will repeat if you press the SNOOZE/Y2K/LIGHT button (6) again within 2 minutes.

To stop the radio or alarm:

To stop it permanently, setting the ON/OFF/ALARM/RADIO slide switch (7) to OFF position, or pressing any other button once except for SNOOZE/Y2K/LIGHT (6), or by just waiting for 2 minutes (only the alarm will stop automatically.

Note: The wake-up radio or alarm will not function afterwards if it is stopped by the first method. (until the switch (7) is set to RADIO or ALARM position again) It will function properly on next day if it is stopped by the other two methods.

Selecting 1-5 Alarm / 1-7 Alarm

Press 1-5/ 1- 7 button (3) to select 1-5 (Monday through Friday) or 1-7 (Monday through Sunday) alarms. The alarm will ring for only weekdays if set to 1-5 and the alarm will ring every day if set to 1-7.

Back Light Reading

Press the SNOOZE/Y2K/LIGHT button (6) once, the LCD display (8) will be lighted up for 5 seconds each time.

Setting Time Zone for USA

Hold SET button (5) for 2 seconds to enter set mode. Press SET button (5) four times to enter zone setting mode. The LCD display (8) shows the map is flashing, press UP (2) or DOWN (4) to select the time zone of your desired location.

Press MODE button (1) once and press UP (2) or DOWN (4) to set on/off the same time.

Press MODE button (1) once again, and press UP (2) or DOWN (4) to set the hour offset from -12 to +12 hours (off of Greenwich).

Press MODE button (1) to complete zone setting and return to normal clock display mode, or press SET button (5) to continue the setting of select language.

Setting Sleep Timer

Set the ON/OFF/ALARM/RADIO slide switch (7) to RADIO position, then hold the (1-5/1-7)/SLEEP button (3) for 3 seconds, the SLEEP symbol will show on the LCD display (8) and the sleep timer digits start from 60 minutes. The radio will turn on at the same time. Then use buttons UP (2) and DOWN (4) to set the desired sleep time. The range of setting values is from 1 to 99 minutes. Press MODE button (1) once to finish timer setting. The digits start to count down. When the sleep timer counts to 00, it will turn off the radio automatically. Or press SNOOZE/Y2K/LIGHT button (6) once to stop the sleep timer.

Radio Operation

Slide the AM/FM selector to your desired band for AM or FM reception, then turn on the radio by setting the ON/OFF/ALARM/RADIO switch (7) to ON position. Select desired broadcasting station with TUNING knob (10). Adjust volume with VOLUME knob (11). Turn off the radio by setting the slide switch (7) to OFF position.

The success of time reception is not guaranteed, subject to the condition of the environment and the distance from the signal source. This clock is designed for indoor use only. Please avoid high humidity, high temperature, vibration, and shock.
