2. Approved Manufacturer:
Series 79 Modulating Electro-Pneumatic Actuators shall be provided by Asahi/America, Inc. of Malden, MA. Manufacturer must be ISO-9001 certified.
4.0 OPTIONS:
4.1 Transmitter
Transmitter, where required, should be provided and factory installed by Asahi/America, Inc. in accordance with manufacturers requirements. Transmitter shall be mounted inside of housing, and transmit a current (milliamps) reporting signal.
2. Mechanical Switches
V3 Mechanical switches, where required, should be provided and factory installed by Asahi/America, Inc. in accordance with manufacturers requirements. V3 Mechanical switches shall be mounted inside of housing, and provide contact closure for the open position, the closed position, or both positions. V3 Mechanical switches are a SPDT design and carry a 15 amp electrical rating at 250 VAC or 10 amp electrical rating at 24 VDC.
3. Inductive Proximity Switches
P+F Inductive Proximity switches, where required, should be provided and factory installed by Asahi/America, Inc. in accordance with manufacturers requirements. P+F Inductive Proximity switches shall be mounted inside of housing, and provide contact closure for the open position, the closed position, or both positions. P+F NJ2-V3 Inductive Proximity switches are a SPST design and operate with a voltage range of 5-25 VDC.
4. Stainless Steel Manifold
Stainless Steel Manifold, where required, should be provided and factory installed by Asahi/America, Inc. in accordance with manufacturers requirements.
303 or 316 Stainless Steel Manifold should be used in aggressive atmospheres.
5. NEMA 7 Enclosure
NEMA 7 Enclosure, where required, should be provided and factory installed by Asahi/America, Inc. in accordance with manufacturers requirements. NEMA 7 Enclosure is constructed of Aluminum, and should be used in volatile atmospheres.
6. Flat Cover
Flat Cover, where required, should be provided and factory installed by Asahi/America, Inc. in accordance with manufacturers requirements.
5. INSTALLATION PROCEDURES:
Installation practices should follow all Electrical Codes and Regulations, Plant/Jobsite Codes and Regulations, and be performed by adequately trained or licensed personnel. Installation practices should also follow all manufacturers guidelines, standards, and requirements set forth in Series 79 and K-10 Installation, Operation and Maintenance manuals. All accessories should be installed in accordance with the manufacturers requirements as well as any facility requirements.
