KSCDC purpose of business is “to be a globally respected organization focussing on inclusiveness by providing quality products at affordable price through continuous innovations”. KSCDC had diversified into value added products from cashew kernels with the technical knowhow of M/s Central Food Technology Research Institute, (CFTRI) Mysore. Value addition division of KSCDC is an ISO 22000-2005 certified unit producing all value addition products. Presently KSCDC operate the sale of value addition products through franchise and distributors in 4 districts of Kerala. KSCDC is planning to strengthen the marketing chain by introducing franchise in other districts of Kerala. For this expansion plan, KSCDC is in the look out of franchise to provide complementary services which will enable KSCDC to establish market chain across Kerala their by increasing the turnover of the Company. KSCDC fosters innovation in its services and makes them accessible to the people at reasonable costs. KSCDC have gained good reputation among general public by delivering good quality products at affordable prices to the common man.CDC Branded ProductsPlain cashew in 20 gm. to 1 Kg packetsRoasted and Salted cashew in 20 gm. to 1 Kg packetsCashew Vita – Health drinkCashew soupCashew powder – curry mixCashew bits – snacksChocokaju – cashew with milk chocolateMilkykaju - cashew with white chocolate ScopeKSCDC is inviting expression of interest from the competent parties to set up Franchisee at various locations in Kerala.“CDC Cashews” is the brand name given by KSCDC for all cashew products.Expression of Interest can be submitted for the Franchisee of Individuals.Cashew Kernels – Plain & RoastedChocoKaju, Cashew Soup, Cashew Bitz, Cashew Vita, Cashew Powder & Milky Kaju Cashew Kernels – Roasted & Salted and Plain in cansWhile submitting the EOI, the bidders have to mention the districts where they want to have the franchisees.Role & Responsibilities of the Franchisees1. Has to set up the franchise as per the specifications given by KSCDC.2. Has to furnish the outlet as per the direction of KSCDC.3. All the statutory/ regulatory requirements what were required such as Shops& Establishment act Registration, FSSAI registration, VAT/GST registration etc. need to be taken by the Franchisees itself.4.The Franchisee has to do the all the quality control measures to eradicate pest. 5.The Franchisee will ensure that the entire outlet operated by them are accessible to KSCDC’s authorised person.6.The Franchisee shall ensure that items which are on the verge of expiry or already expired are not sold to the customers under any circumstances.7.The Franchisee shall not sale any misbranded or spurious or adulterated cashew products.8.Items other than CDC branded cashew cannot be sold through the outlet. 9.Adequate inventory of stocks will be maintained by the Franchisee to avoid any stock out situations.10.The franchisee has to ensure that all items are to be sold to the customers at MRP or with a discount from MRP and in compliance with market conditions. 11.If KSCDC is getting any requirement of starting up new outlets, then KSCDC will have the right to give intimation to the respective Franchisee which is already present in that particular place to operate the newly required outlet as per KSCDC directive.Eligibility CriteriaThe eligibility criteria for submission of Expression of Interest for Franchisee of KSCDC for outlet.1. The Firm / individual must be registered under appropriate statutory authority for establishing outlet. 2. The Firm/Individual may be located in Kerala as per list attached. 3.The Firm/individual must have 10x10 sq ft(minimum) of commercial space with shutters and car parking facility located near to town.4.The firm /individual must be financially sound to stock minimum 500 Kg of products.Applicant failing to fulfil any of the above-mentioned Eligibility Criteria will not be considered for selection.General Conditions.Franchisees will be provided with illuminating name board by KSCDC.Expected turnover per month of each Franchisee shall be Rs 8 to 10 Lakhs.Estimated franchisees commission is 25% of MRP (vary with market conditions)KSCDC will arrange free transportation, if the single value purchase is more than Rs 10 Lakhs. Each response should contain following minimum information:? Background about the firm/individual.? Experience in Kerala, and/or other key markets.? Details of Franchisee Request (District wise)Firm/Individual are requested to keep the information and details strictly confidential. We are looking for your support and co-operation in getting fully responsive Expression of interest. KSCDC shall not be responsible for any expense incurred by firm/individual in connection with the preparation and delivery of their EOI and other expenses. KSCDC reserves the right to reject any or all the Expressions of Interest without assigning any reason thereof. After evaluation / examination of the EOI, KSCDC may at its sole discretion decide further course of action.KSCDC reserves the right to deal with the EOI in any manner without assigning any reasons for the same. If the franchisee violates any of the terms and conditions of the Franchisee agreement /EOI, the security deposit shall be forfeited. This security deposit will be returned to the franchisee without any interest, within 90 days from the closure of the franchisee agreement date/ Termination of the Franchisee Agreement by KSCDC.Delivery of Products:All ordered products would be delivered within 5-10 days from the date of Payment. No credit facility will be entertained by KSCDC. Penalty Clause:If the shortlisted parties after signing the franchisee agreement with KSCDC fails to execute the outlet as agreed in the agreement or within the stipulated time or has not provided the facilities as agreed in the agreement a penalty will be imposed by KSCDC. EOI Submission1. EOI can be submitted from 01.02.2017 onwards till 15.02.20172. The EOI document published by KSCDC shall be duly signed by the party and submitted along with the above document.3.The submitted EOI shall be valid for a period of three months from the date of submission of the EOI.4.The complete EOI can be submitted to the address given in the document.
