The City of Burlington Public Works Department respectfully requests a quote on a new backhoe/loader. The machine will be used by the Street Department for general construction and excavation. The city may be trading in a 2003 John Deere 410G with roughly 9300hrs. Any Demo units that are available that meet or come close to the specifications will be considered. Try to meet the following specifications as close as possible. Explain any exceptions to the specifications and identify any proposed alternatives. Please include delivery time. All Quotes must be valid for a minimum of 180 days. The City of Burlington, VT has the right to accept or refuse any and all quotes and award to the vendor that best suits the needs of the City.

1. Diesel engine, turbocharged with 110 net horsepower (approx.) meeting current emissions (Tier4 final).

2. Cold weather starting package including glow plugs and block heater.

3. Power shift transmission. (torque converter drive) Auto shift and lock up converter.

Hydraulics to be compatible and plumbed for use with the frost breaker and plate compactor that are currently used by the department.
