Celebration, Speaker: Dr. Cynthia Newton (Dept. Chair of Political Science at Wesley

College) on 19th Amendment and Delaware's role. There will be a Q&A followed

by a champagne and desert reception. No charge, 80 tickets, Carol Jones organizer

Foundation, Patti Grimes, Martha has notified New Castle to staff voter registration table.

April 1,8,15, 4PM, Film Festivale Cinema Art Theater, Carol Jones organizing

Voted for Standing on My Sisters Shoulder's, Suffragists, She's Beautiful When

She is Angry, Shirley Chisholm '72 Unbought & Unbossed,

For the reception The Lewes History Museum has a room as well as a liquor license. We

could also show a movie there and maybe able to use city of Lewes Movie Screen

We could have the reception after the movie at the Cinema Art Theater and people sit in their

seats to eat and drink during the discussion.

May 1-3, 2020, Seneca Falls Bus Trip, approx. $350 pp. includes transportation,

2 nights hotel, 1 dinner, admission to museum, 50 tickets awaiting Carol's okay to start selling

tickets.

May 21, 2020, Reviving The Dead Ladies” play, Clear Space, reception before

event, Kelly Sheridan, Carol Jones contacts, David Buttons and Kay Cummings directors

August 22, 10-2PM, 2020, Maull House, DAR holding Open House, display on Suffragists

League to provide Display on 19th Amendment, will post on website

August 26, 6-7:30, Rehoboth Boardwalk, Women in White Parade, VIA, Mary Folan

Donna Mabry organizing, 19Th amendment beer tasting at Dogfish, sashes and buttons

provided to committee members. Pass buttons out at your events contact Donna Mabry for more

Wear sashes to your events, provide the VIA of a head count from your members attending

September 26th, History Book Festival, Lewes, hope to get Anne Boylan's book

Oct. 10th, bus trip to The Turning Point Memorial (TPSM), $60, transportation, box lunch,

tour by Pat Worth, Kelly Sheridan contact also Alice Paul Museum, LWVSCDE asked for $125

for bus deposit. 56 tickets to be sold

Nov. 5th March in Return Day Parade, Georgetown, DE, Patti Grimes, Freeman Foundation

Nov. -Dec., Selbyville, Traveling Exhibit from the National Archives “Rightfully Hers”

Freeman Foundation Organizing

Thru out year, 700 word commentaries to be published by the Cape Gazette. Anne Boylan

and Jane Lord have submitted commentaries. Additional commentaries to be submitted

by Penny Diener, Kathleen Baker, Ellen Rooney, Denise Clemons and Anne Boylan

Martha to contact paper regarding publish date.

19th Amendment display to be shown at the Selbyville Library March 1-15, Lewes Lib.

March 16-30, April Milton Library, Maull House month of August, May Frankford Library

Lewes Historical Society program director Andrew Lyter has reached out to us with their plans:

August 14, 7PM, Lewes History Museum,101 Adams ave. Revisiting the Women's Movement

with 2020 Hindsight, speaker series, tickets on Lewes History Museum Website.

September 18 & 19, 5PM &7PMTavern Talks, The 1920 Suffrage Movement. Characters in

historic garb talk about suffrage, Contact Dogfish to serve 19th Amendment beer, beer for

women brewed by women at tavern.

Going to High Schools in historic garb to promote the vote.

We may request a reenactor to show up at our events in historic garb to reenact a suffragists.

Jack Young- Delaware State 19th Amendment Celebration Committee

Georgetown Library Marker for Margret White Houston president of The New Century Club

and a founding member of the DE LWV. She lived in Georgetown and helped to start the library.

Septemeber 26th, 10-12 March in Dover to dedicate suffragists memorial. Each women's group in state

will be contacted to participate in march. The staging area will be Centeral Middle School at 8AM.

Next meeting of LWVSCDE 19th Amendment Celebration Committee will be March 1st, 1-3:30PM

at the Glen Kinsale Clubhouse, 2 Oranmore Ave. Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971
