Tyler has shared with us what is currently important in her life at Playing & Learning Together

Tyler is really enjoying 'mark making' at the moment. This was out on the patio last week. Here she made a circle first and then 'coloured' in the middle. This activity kept her attention for ten minutes. Other children were nearby but she didn't get involved, just participated in the same sort of activity. This is called parallel play and common at her age.

Inside, Tyler continues to 'mark make'. At the moment she is making lots of master pieces. However, it is the 'taking part' she is interested in rather than the 'picture' at the end. Here she noticed that the yellow and blue paint provided, when mixed together it made green. She used the whole paper and stayed at the activity until most of the paper was filled.

Tyler enjoys cooking. We cook every week and she is always a keen participant. Here we are making biscuits. Carefully, she ensured all the flour was fully mixed together. She managed holding the bowl and to stir at the same time, in circular clockwise movements.
