Notice to Sponsors/Youth Groups
We are going to be covering throughout the day ways students and staff can help make our schools a safer place for all to attend. I speakers will focus on how you can affect change in your schools in a positive way. Part of the afternoon session will be a brainstorming session to have students work together with other students from different schools to come up with ideas how we can affect change in our schools.
BEFORE YOU COME AND ATTEND:
I am asking each sponsor bring with them the following item. I would like for you and your youth group to make a poster about a program you are doing in your school right now that is affecting positive change already in your school. On the poster put the following information:
1. The name of your program.
2. A brief description of that program and how it works.
3. A summary of the cost of the program and where you received your money.
4. A description of the positive results the program has bought to your school.
5. Your contact information along with phone contact number, e-mail address, facebook account, etc. (This way people know how to contact you)
We will post these posters up all around the conference meeting room. As we take breaks you can go around the room and see if there are programs you may be interested in bringing to your school. If you find one you can take a picture of that poster and have the contact information about each program,
Please take the time to come up with at least one poster. If you have more than one program you want to highlight, then you may bring as many posters as you would like.
Remember this conference is going to be about affecting change in our schools. This poster you will bring will be a big part of all of us coming up with new ideas for our schools.
If you are coming from a distance, I listed the conference hotel for you. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitant to contact me.
