Hello everyone! We hope you have had a lovely February break and enjoyed lots of fun in the snow. This week we are going to be learning about Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year. We always have lots of fun at nursery around this theme so hopefully you can enjoy some activities at home this week.Chinese New Year is often called Lunar New Year and also Spring Festival. It is celebrated in China and other Asian countries. It begins with the first?new?moon of the?lunar?calendar and ends on the first full moon of the?lunar?calendar, 15 days later.Chinese New Year 2021?will be observed on Friday 12th February 2021. The festival period lasts for 16 days, starting from?Chinese New Year's?Eve to the Lantern Festival.
