Criteria/Qualifications Phoenix Song This scholarship is available for students who are pursuing an education in one of the Performing Arts. Phoenix Flight This scholarship is available for students who are actively involved in an organization that supports LGBT causes. Phoenix Flame This scholarship is available for qualifying students who have suffered the death of either one or both parents. Applicants must be dependent children of full-time employees in the financial services industry (commercial banks, investment banks, securities brokerage firms, insurance companies, fund and asset management companies, credit card and finance companies and similar businesses as determined by the Foundation). Employees must be presently employed with five years of experience OR no longer employed in this field but had ten years of experience which ended no longer than five years prior to the GAR Scholarship application closing date (which is located on the top of the application). Students must be graduating high school seniors who are enrolling as full time first year students in pursuit of a four-year bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university in the United States. Students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) and rank in the top 20% of their class. Students must demonstrate financial need. Students must be a US citizen or legal resident. Only students who possess a valid (not expired) U.S. Uniformed Services Identification and Privilege Card (DD Form 1173) and whose parent(s) are serving, or

Connex Foundation Scholarship

Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program leading to a bachelor's degree or a community/junior college designed to allow for a direct transfer into a four-year program. High school applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 basis). College applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. College freshmen must submit a first semester college transcript. Applicants or sponsors do not need to live at an installation with a commissary ? simply select the commissary where you shop or the one nearest to you. The ACS Scholars Program awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students majoring in undergraduate chemistry-related disciplines, and are also intending to pursue careers in chemistry-related fields. Selected recipients are awarded up to $5,000* per academic year. To date, over 3,000 students have received a funding from the ACS Scholars Program. The purpose of the Connex Foundation Scholarship is to assist individuals who are exploring the study of skilled trades or multi-site facility management with the end goal of advancing their career in this field. The scholarship serves to promote the multi-site facilities industry by attracting high school and college-level students into the field of study and encouraging their pursuit with financial support. This scholarship is in support of the SAE Foundation to ensure an adequate supply of well-trained engineers for the future. Eligibility requirements: U.S. resident, GPA 3.75 or higher, rank in the 90th percentile in both math and critical reading on SAT or composite ACT scores, and pursue an engineering or related science degree through an ABET accredited program. The Young Radiator Co. established this scholarship in memory of the company's founder, Fred M. Young, Sr. Young started the company in 1927 and saw it grow to become a major force in the field of heat transfer. He had a high regard for the value of engineering in terms of its contribution to the success of society. The Zonta Club of Melbourne welcomes all Brevard County female high school students interested in pursuing an education focusing on public affairs to apply for its Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship.
