Low Light Steel Night Shoot Slumber Party, 16 September 2016Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club will be hosting a low light steel shoot on the AGC 200 yard range, Friday 16 September starting around 1800ish. This event will be similar to our low light shoot last year with one exception. We will be spending the night on the range in tents after the night shoot. So bring your Hello Kitty sleeping bag, Unicorn footy pajamas, night vison, laser and flashlights for some lead slinging, spark flying fun at the range. Time: Setup is at 1800 with shooting starting soon thereafter. We will end at 2100 or earlier.Rifles: AR type platform (No AK’s) .223 or 5.56 (No penetrator or green tip ammo)Pistols: Semiauto handguns (.22 to 45 cal) No magnumEyepro: full coverage ballistic eyepro is mandatory (be sure to have clear lenses)Hearing pro: Your choice on what type to useRecommended gear: Aiming laser, firearm light, night vision, holster, mag holders, pistol belt, headlamp/ flashlight, two mags per gun, cleaning kit, folding chair, tent, sleeping bag, snacks and drinksSafety Brief: A comprehensive safety brief will be given on site and no one will shoot without a brief. Night shoots have more safety protocols implemented than our day shoots due to the obvious increase risk associated but I promise it will not decrease the fun factor. It is also recommended that you practice operating your firearm controls with your eyes shut at home prior to attending the night shoot. Shooters must be able to load and unload in the dark. RSO’s will be there with flashlights to clear guns. We will give a little instruction prior to the night shoot on how to perform basic actions in the dark. For those spending the night, we will be telling ghost stories and tales of shooters forgetting to load their guns at 3 Gun events or how their pistol fell out during an action event. We will be authorized to partake in tasty beverages onsite only after the range event is completed for the evening and firearms are cased. If weather becomes an issue, be sure to watch for email traffic with last minute event changes or cancellations.Saturday, 17 September at 0900, we will roll right into our 3 Gun event. If you have any questions about the night shoot or the 3 Gun event, please email me at arlingtonrpc.executiveofficer@Paul CasaleARPC, XO3 Gun Steel Event, 17 September 2016Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club will be hosting a 3 Gun Steel Event on the AGC 200 yard range, Saturday 17 September 0900-1500.
