To access the hot springs area walk along the waters edge until you find bubbling water ((please avoid damaging) Do not damage vegetation). In spring, the East Lake Hot Springs are submerged in the lake due to high lake levels, and become exposed in late July or when the (lake) water level drops. If you come to a point where you can no longer walk the shoreline, then the hot springs are still submerged.
