STEAKFEST 2021 SEMINARS

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21

9:00am ? 10:00am:

ROI and Engineered Automated Solutions: What's the Cost if you don't Automate? Understand the true cost of your current process, nothing gets swept under the rug. We'll dive deep to show you how to calculate your current process costs and help you understand how a capital expenditure like an Engineered Automated Solutions makes sense. If done right, the low cost of ownership on an automated cell cannot be ignored.

10:30am?11:30am:

Cobots vs. industrial robots. What's the difference? Want to learn more about when and where a Collaborative robot should be deployed? Everything has its place, then there's the gray area. We'll talk about Industrial and Collaborative robots and the different levels of collaboration (because there's more than 1).

12:30pm?1:30pm:

Mastering 5-Axis with OPENMIND/HYPERMILL ? How can I get into 5-axis machining? What does it take to program 3+2 or 5-axis? Can I really cut out multiple steps with 5axis? How much should I invest when researching a 5-axis machine? Chris Robson of Concept Machine will answer these questions and more!

2:00pm?3:00pm:

Today's Metrology Standards - Standards Framework ? What is the right approach to be effective? An effective dimensional metrology standards management process for the manufacturing companies by adapting and incorporating published national as well as international standards is essential to business success. There are many National and International standards and related documents pertaining to manufacturing and metrology. However, many are not actively used, and, in many cases, unawareness of these documents often leads to unneeded conflicts between suppliers and customers. By the time the supplier-customer issues are somehow resolved they have already affected the product development cycle and extended the product launch date, in some cases by years. This supply chain risk could mean significant business impact for the manufacturing companies. This presentation provides an overview of the metrology standards framework and a systems approach that defines a range of acceptable standards, allowing one to balance the use of existing standards and incorporating other valid standards. Organizations that adopt internationally recognized standards for quality inside their business systems will always be in front of their competition
