SUBJECT: Rental Car Insurance
When obtaining an authorized rental vehicle using your Government credit card, you are charged a $5.00 per day GARS fee which covers insurance under the Government Rental Car Agreement. You do not need to take out additional insurance. You are only covered for official use of the rental car.
When obtaining a rental car during deployments, NSSE’s or any other type of event and the rental car is charged to the contractor’s credit card, insurance is not included and will need to be acquired at the time of pick up.
