Summer Personal & Team-Building Activities

During the semester you will participate in team and individual activities. These are intended to help you with self-discovery, testimony builder, learn team skills, and to have FUN! Points will be earned based on participation and written essay. Get out of your comfort zone and grow. Each written assignment is worth 20 points, for a total of 80 points.

Note: Include all activity assignments in the appendix section of your business journal.

|Personal Assignment: Answer the question: If money and time were no object, what would you do with your | |

|life? Why? Prepare a one-page summary to this question. | |

|2. Heroes and Leadership | |

|Dress: Like your favorite leader | |

|Personal Assignment: Prepare a one page summary on what kind of leader you hope to be someday and what | |

|you admire in your favorite leader. | |

|Team Activity: Each team will select one leader to profile in a 5 minute or less presentation to share with| |

|the rest of the class. | |

|Missionary Day/Marketing the Church | |

|Dress: Missionary attire (P-Day doesn’t count) | |

|Personal Assignment: Prepare a one page summary and answer the question, “What are the benefits to me and | |

|others through missionary service?” | |

|Team Activity: Bring to class a copy of your favorite article, poem, story, or personal experience on | |

|missionary work. This will be turned in and shared orally. | |

|Pizza Party/Don’t Worry Be Happy | |

|Team Activity: Bring 2 pizzas and a 6 pack of soda to share. | |

TEAM DEVOTIONALS

Every team will be assigned a five-minute devotional. Plan on sharing a spiritual message that might include a scripture, hymn, inspirational video clip, profile of a prophet, fun activity, role-play, skit, etc. Most important: don’t forget a class treat, keep it simple, but enough for the entire class. If you can tie it into a subject matter for that day, that is even better. Don’t forget to have a WOW factor.
