Recoveries

17-13077: Avenue 24 and Road 208, Richgrove

Recovery: $70,000.00

On 10/25/20174, Deputies responded to the area where a John Deere tractor was located with an attached gondola full of grapes. The reporting party who reported it stolen received notice of the location of the tractor and gondola. After inspecting the equipment, the tractor was found to be the one reported stolen, and then returned to the owner.

17-13042: Avenue 56 and Road 200, Ducor

Recovery: $2,000.00

On 10/27/2017, the reporting party contacted TCSO advising he had located the reported stolen trap wagon with a 210-gallon capacity tank. The reporting party advised a citizen observed the trailer along with other items belonging to Sun View in a vineyard. The citizen contacted Sun View who identified their items, but the trailer did not belong to them. One of the workers knew of the reported missing trailer and contacted the owner who was able to recover the trailer.

17-14026: Avenue 188 and Road 248, Strathmore

Recovery: $45,000.00

On 11/16/2017, the reporting party contacted TCSO to report locating a John Deere tractor with a blue fertilizer distributor attached to it stuck in a field with the engine running and lights on in the area of Avenue 188 and Road 248. Deputies observed the tractor to be a green John Deere 6520L tractor with SN: CA0541157V, and a side number of “1361.” The JD tractor was towing a glue fertilizer distributor with the side number of “1544.” The tractor and fertilizer were identified and released to the owner.

Upon inspection of the crime scene, it was found that a yellow Harlo 5000 series forklift was also taken. No identifying information was available for the forklift. The estimated loss was $35,000.00. 17-14480: Avenue 352 and Road 112, Visalia

Loss: $2,800.00

Arrested: Jose Chacon-Jimenez

On 11/28/2017, Deputies were dispatched to the area for a suspicious person walking in an agriculture field. Deputies located the subject walking in the area of Road 112 and Avenue 352, and found him to be covered with an oily clear substance on his body. An employee at a nearby dairy noticed the suspect near a six-thousand gallon fertilizer tank of UN32, with the valve open allowing the fertilizer to pour onto the ground. TC Fire responded to

test the fertilizer if it was hazardous, and found not to be. Approximately 1,100-gallons of fertilizer was dumped on the ground, worth a loss of $2,800.00. Jose Chacon-Jimenez was taken into custody and booked ad TCSO Adult Pre-Trial Facility.

17-12966: 16200 Block of Avenue 376, Seville

On 10/23/2017, Deputies were dispatched to the area for a reported theft of copper wire. The reporting party advised sometime during 10/21/2017 and 10/23/2017, approximately 20-feet of 00 insulated copper wire was stolen from a new electrical service, which had been installed approximately one month ago, and was to be connected to an agricultural irrigation pump and filter system. The estimated loss was $1,000.00. 17-13027: Avenue 384 and Road 140, Yettem

On 10/24/2017, Deputies responded to take a report for an attempted theft. The reporting party advised finding picked Pomelo’s on the ground in the orchard, but was unable to determine how much fruit had been stolen. 17-13750: Avenue 408 and Road 144, Cutler

On 11/10/2017, Deputies responded for a reported theft. The reporting party advised unknown suspect(s) had entered the orchard and removed approximately $6,000.00 worth of Pummelo fruit from the orchard. Also located in the orchard were several piles of picked fruit that were left behind. 17-13804: 51100 Block of Drive 152, Orosi

On 11/11/2017, Deputies were dispatched to a residence for a reported theft. The reporting party advised unknown suspect(s) entered the property and forced entry into a locked storage and stole (1) Porter Tuscan brand saddle; (2) Roohide saddles; (2) Unknown brand working saddles; (4) 5-Star saddle pads; (5) bridles; (5) halters with lead ropes; (3) sets of spurs; (4) breast collars; (1) box of brushes and curry combs; (200-gallons) gasoline; Misc. 17-14390: Avenue 400 and Road 92, Dinuba

On 11/26/2017, Deputies were called to the area for a reported theft of a forklift. The reporting party left a 2002 yellow forklift in the orchard and upon return found the forklift had been stolen. The estimated value was $9,000.00. 17-14230: Meyer Drive and Road 204, Tulare

On 11/22/2017, Deputies were dispatched for a reported theft. The reporting party advised between 11/21/2017 and 11/22/2017, unknown suspect(s) entered the property by cutting the chain link fencing and pulling it back. A lock on a Sea Train storage unit was cut and the suspect(s) stole (2) Stihl brand chainsaws with extension poles; (1) red and black Troy Built brand generator; (1) portable vehicle battery charger; and multiple DeWalt brand hand tools. The estimated value for damages was $600.00, and items stolen were $2,310.00. 17-14246: Avenue 328 and Road 148, Visalia

On 11/22/2017, Deputies were dispatched for a report of vandalized crops. The reporting party advised he found (3) orange trees laying on the ground and the irrigation system had been damaged. At a second location, ½ mile distance away, (19) walnut trees were laying on the ground damaged. The same pattern of tire tracks from a tractor and possible truck tires were in both locations. A blue TN55 New Holland tractor was located parked east of the

Walnut orchard with tree limbs stuck on the undercarriage, and with damage to the oil pan of the tractor. The estimated loss to crops and irrigation system was $1,500.00. 17-12719: Avenue 12 and Road 224, Richgrove

On 10/17/2017, Deputies were dispatched to the area for theft. The reporting party advised someone broke the window to a John Deere tractor cab and stole a stereo, and damaged the handle and lock to the tractor door. Also stolen were (3) grease gun, (1) 2-gallon water jug; and soap for washing hands. The estimated value of loss and damages was $905.00. On 10/19/2017, the reporting party advised unknown suspect(s) entered the property and stole approximately (24) packages of Styrofoam boxes totaling 864. Each packaged contained 36 boxes, and has either “5N” or “5S.” The estimated value of loss was $1,728.00. 17-12989: Avenue 88 and Road 216, Terra Bella

10/23/2017, Deputies were dispatched to this area for a reported theft. The reporting party advised unknown suspect(s) entered a storage yard in a vineyard consisting of a 6-foot chain link fence topped with barbed wire on the property after harvesting had finished. The equipment was last seen on the property on 10/21/17.

The reported stolen property consisted of (1) GMC truck battery; (2) generators (unknown make/brand); (2) cover crop seeders yellow in color with “BSF” painted in black; (2) Honda engines; (6) bin trailers with “BSF” painted on the sides; (3) cane cutters green in color with “BSF” painted in black; (1) French plow yellow in color with “BSF” painted in black; (4) pallet raisin sheets (28 thousand sheets); (2) tool boxes full of unknown brands of tools; (2) gas torches blue/gray in color; (3) gas cylinders (unknown size/color); (3) portable restrooms (2 are crème in color with “BSG” painted on and 1 red with “California Contracting” painted on sides); (1) Honda quad bike, Khaki in color; (1) John Deere Gator with “BSF” painted in white; (2) white utility trailers (unknown color); (300) digital scales with “BSF” painted in silver; (4) pruning shears; (100) packing trays for table grapes; (300) clippers; (1) Range Ruler yellow in color; (2) scrapers red in color; (1) mower, V-shape, red in color; (56) wood raisin bins; (1) grease gun, silver in color; (8) Firestone tractor tires; (8) Tow chains; (25) irrigation pipe roles; (1)CAT forklift, yellow in color; (6) Hydraulic oil buckets, white in color; (26) shovels; (14) sprayer machine nozzles, black in color; (4) battery chargers; (5) sulfur bags; (4) Pallet jacks, yellow/blue in color; (10) Jumper cables; (6) Black & Decker drills; (1) welding machine, blue in color, with “BSF” painted in black; (1) vise guard; (16) John Deere tractor weights; (1) hydraulic vineyard cover machine, copper in color with “BSF” painted in black; (2) Terracor, yellow in color; (5) disk blades; (1-3) Bezzeradi, burgundy in color; (1) fertilizer machine, green/gray in color; (1) sulfur machine, yellow/green in color; (2) air compressors, black in color, with “BSF” painted on; (1) tire opening drill; (1) weed spraying machine; (1) refrigerator, silver in color; (1) shredder, yellow in color, with “BSF” painted in black; (1) Air-O-Fan, silver in color, with “BSF” painted; (1) weed machine, green in color; (1) 600-gallon Folier sprayer machine; (1) Air-O-Fan tower; (2) 150-gallon diesel barrels; (2) 150-gallon Petrol barrels; (6) propane tanks; (8) cases of Rely; (12) bottles of Venue; (5) cases of Weather Guard; (80) gallons of Folier chemicals; (3) Sand filter tanks, silver in color; and Miscellaneous irrigation tools, hooks, chains, and locks.

17-13042: Avenue 56 and Road 200, Ducor

On 10/26/2017, Deputies responded to the area for a reported theft of diesel and a diesel truck wagon. The reporting party stated several items were missing from the area. Reported missing were (1) yellow trap wagon with a 210-gallon capacity, with “101” welded on the tongue of the trailer, a yellow electric pump; (100) gallons of Red Dye Diesel Fuel; and (1) white gull wing truck bed tool box. The estimated loss was $3,000.00. 17-13194: Avenue 144 and Road 208, Porterville

On 10/27/2017, Deputies were dispatched to the area for a reported theft. On this date a brown pick-up truck entered the property into a fenced area and (2) Hispanic male adults broke into a sea train on the property. The unknown suspect(s) stole (35) pruning shears; (4) fruit scales; (12) long blade pruning shears; (1) clear plastic storage container; (1) 5-gallon gas can full; (1) blue Cobalt, Lowe’s brand, air compressor; (15) picking bags; (5) box liners; (1) 50-lb bag of dog food. The truck was described as a 1990’s 1500 Chevy extended cab truck. The front section from the cab to front bumper appeared white in color, and from cab to rear bumper appeared to be a glue/gray or silver color; rear sliding window, custom chrome wheels, and dual rectangular exhaust pipes. 17-14411: Avenue 8 and Road 176, Delano

On 11/27/2017, Deputies responded to the area for a reported theft. The reporting party advised on this date he arrived and found damaged fencing and the following missing items. (77) Bundles of white Styrofoam grape packaging boxes (40 boxes per bundle). The boxes have no labels, but they do have a sticker with the dates of 11/25/2017 or 11/26/2017 on them. The point of entry had 40-feet of damaged chain link fencing where the suspect(s) drove through the fence. The estimated value of loss and damages were $6,706.00. On 11/27/2017, Deputies were dispatched for a grand theft report. The reporting party advised unknown suspect(s) pumped approximately 450-gallons of diesel fuel out of a portable storage tank. The suspect(s) also removed a battery and air compressor that was mounted to the fuel trailer. The estimated loss was $2,505.00. The reporting party stated unknown suspect(s) entered the unsecured property and removed a blue Ag trailer, which is a flatbed trailer used to haul grape boxes. 17-14507: Avenue 88 and Road 224, Terra Bella

On 11/29/2017, Deputies were dispatched to the area for a reported theft. The reporting party advised unknown suspect(s) entered the property sometime over the last 30 days by cutting through chain link fencing of a storage area in the orchard and removed a Honda engine from a fertilizer pump. The estimated value of loss and damages were $650.00. 17-12861: Avenue 184 and Road 112, Tulare

On 10/20/2017, Deputies were dispatched to the area for a reported theft of a trailer. The reporting party stated a fuel wagon/trailer had been stolen. The fuel wagon was an all steel trailer with dual axles, a 500-gallon fuel tank mounted, painted orange with white steel wheels, and a sticker by the manufacturer of HCL Machine Works of Merced, CA. On the top of the wagon was an electrical fuel transfer pump, and mounted to the tongue of the trailer was a box containing the fuel transfer hose. The estimated value of the wagon/trailer was $7,000.00. 17-13173: Avenue 80 and Road 184, Pixley

On 10/27/2017, Deputies responded to the area for a reported theft of grapes. The reporting party discovered new Styrofoam grape boxes that did not belong to the R/P, and had another company initials stamped on the boxes. It was determined 5 half rows of Red Glow seedless grapes had been picked and stolen; approximately (50) boxes worth of grapes. The suspect(s) left behind grape boxes and (2) pairs of grape trimming shears. The estimated loss was $1,000.00. . 17-13387: Avenue 64 and Road 184, Pixley

On 11/01/2017, Deputies responded to the area for an attempted theft report. The reporting party advised locating 50 boxes full of picked grapes, and approximately the same amount left on the ground in the vineyard. Due to the condition of the grapes they were estimated to have been picked over the weekend, and now were unusable product. The estimated value of loss was $2,000.00. On 11/01/2017, Deputies responded to the area for a reported theft. The reporting party advised unknown suspect(s) entered the property and removed (1) black four post hydraulic car lift; (1) red Lincoln brand stick welder; (1) green toolbox containing large end wrenches and brake tools; (1) red toolbox containing small end wrenches. The estimated value of loss was $2,000.00. 17-14001: Avenue 160 and Road 124, Tipton

On 11/16/2017, Deputies responded to the property for a reported theft. The reporting party stated unknown suspect(s) entered the area with new construction and stole copper piping of 1 1/8”, 1 5/8”, and 2 1/8” in diameter in 20’ lengths totaling 1040 feet; copper fittings, elbows and couplers totaling 106 pieces; bronze 2” solenoid valve; (3) six-foot ladders; and (1) Chicago pneumatic air compressor. 17-14110: Avenue 144 and Road 140, Tipton

On 11/19/2017, Deputies were dispatched to the area for a reported theft of a John Deere Gator. The reporting party advised the JD Gator was parked and chained to a trailer at the work location. The JD Gator has a custom made dump bed on it. There is a “Fresno Equipment Company” sticker affixed to the passenger side of the body frame. The estimated loss was $4,500.00.
