Ask Question 1 the FIRST time that the number is rolled. Ask Question 2 the SECOND time the number is rolled. ALWAYS end with the sentence at the BOTTOM of the box.

1. Your dad wants you to try a food you've never had before. You are scared it will taste yucky. Should you put your hand over your mouth and not eat or TRY the new food? (Try the new food)

2. There is a new kid in your small group. You want to tell him your name but you are scared he will be mean to you. Should you tell the new kid your name or pretend he is not in your group? (Tell the new kid your name)

That's right! When you are scared, you can know God is with you! Everyone use a crayon to draw a mouth on your monster. (Allow kids to draw a mouth. Assist as needed.)

1. You want to ride your brand new bike but you are scared you will fall over. Your dad says he will help you. Should you ride your new bike or go inside to play? (Ride your bike.)

2. You want to try the big, new slide at the park, but you are scared you will fall. Should you try the new slide--even if you fall? (Yes!)

Yes! Even though you are scared, you can try NEW things because God is with you! Let's all draw one eye on your monster. (Allow kids to draw an eye. Assist as needed.)

1. Your mom tells you to brush your teeth because you have to go to the dentist, for the first time ever! If you have ever been scared to go to the dentist, clap really fast. (Allow responses.)

2. You are scared to go to school. You have never been and you are scared! Should you cry really loudly or should you TRY your new school? (Try your new school)

You don't have to be scared because God is with you! Let's all draw one arm on your monster! (Allow kids to draw an arm. Assist as needed.)

1. You see your older brother riding a skateboard. Your brother said he would teach you how to skate. It looks like a lot of fun but you are scared you will fall and get a boo-boo. Should you TRY to skateboard or just throw the skateboard in the trash? (Try to skateboard.)

2. Your mom has a new babysitter coming to stay with you. You have never met her and you are scared she will be mean. Should you hide in your room or meet your new babysitter? (Meet new babysitter)

Way to go! You can TRY new things, even when you are scared, because you know God is with you! Everyone draw one leg on your monster. (Allow kids to draw a leg. Assist as needed.)

1. Your friend asks you to come play at her house. You have never been there before. You are scared to go to a NEW place. Should you GO to her house and play or should you STAY at home and cry? (Go to her house and play)

2. Your friend wants you to come over and play in his treehouse. You have never been up in his treehouse and are scared. Should you try playing in his treehouse or should you yell "NO" and run away? (Try to play in the treehouse)

You got it! You may be scared to go to a new place, but you can know that God is with you! Let's all draw some hair on your monster. (Allow kids to draw hair on monster. Assist as needed.)

1. Your grandmother makes a special birthday dinner just for YOU! You are scared to eat because you are scared you won't like it. Should you not eat and be hungry all night or should you TRY the new foods? (Try the new foods)

2. Your dad tried a new recipe for dinner. It smells good but you are scared to try it. Should you try it, even if you don't like it, or should you not eat dinner? (Try it!)

Yes! Sometimes it can feel scary to try new foods, but since God is with you, you can do it! Now everyone draw one tooth on your monster. (Allow kids to draw a tooth on monster. Assist as needed.)
