We've been exploring culture and what it means. To culminate this unit, students will create a project demonstrating their understanding of culture and how it applies to them. Students can use any format below to make their project. If they have another one they want to use, it must first be approved by the teacher. Students need to use all the answers they have on their homework assignment called "Your Culture" to create their project and classify each answer with the appropriate culture trait. They must also include a picture for each category. The drawing can be drawn or printed. This will be due on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. This project is a test grade. My grading rubric is below for this project. Extra credit is given if students put the meaning and/or origin of their last name.
10 Culture Trait Categories to use are: 1. Values and beliefs 2. Communication 3. Social Relationships 4. Food 5. Clothing and body decoration 6. Religion ? Include holidays 7. Family Structure 8. Traditions and Customs 9. View of Time 10. Recreation/relaxation
