My goal as an educator is to motivate, engage, and increase your child’s interest and knowledge in reading. Literacy is the key to success for our children’s futures in any job field. I hope to work side by side with parents in guiding the students throughout their educational journey. GENERAL PROCEDURESIn order to succeed in this class, each student should know what is expected of them. The following are responsibilities that will guarantee a great year:?Come to class regularly and ON TIME?Have materials ready and available at ALL TIMES?Complete and turn in assignments ON TIMELATE WORK/NO NAMEAll work must be completed prior to entering class. If a student does not have the work when it is due, they have until 8:30 AM the next school day to turn it in for a late grade. After 8:30 AM the next school day, work will not be accepted. Any work turned in late will receive a 20-point deduction. Work turned in without the student’s name will not be graded. Students are expected to either purchase the novel or borrow it from the public library.
