Your bed or couch is the place that you relax. If you try to complete your work there, your brain will go to relax mode! We need you alert, focused, and free of distraction! A great idea is to set up your own office or study space. Find a location in your home that is quiet and free of your distraction. Set up a desk (table) and chair (comfortable, but not too comfortable) and set up your computer and notebooks. 5448300523240A Spiral Notebook for Every Course/Binder with Dividers: Yes, you can still color coordinate your binders and notebooks! Even though you are learning online, you will need to be taking notes throughout each course. Stay organized by separating notes for each course you are taking so you can easily find the notes that you need for your upcoming tests, assignments, homework, etc. If specific materials or supplies are required for an individual course, these will be listed in the course description. At the start of school, your teachers will outline any other requirements.Calculator – During Math and sometimes Science class students will need to utilize a basic calculator to complete specific problems. If a scientific calculator is needed, your child’s teacher will provide you with that information.Pens/Pencils/Highlighters – Writing utensils will be used daily as student complete pre-work, calculate problems, annotate text, brainstorm, take notes and utilize scratch paper to solve problems during tests and quizzes.USB flash drive/Jump Drive- Students will store documents, assignments, project, etc. on the drive instead of on the issued device for future usage. Optional Supplies:Printer: While a printer is not required, it can be helpful to print out guided notes for each course. Guided notes are outlines that you complete during the lessons to make sure you are focused on the most important points of the lesson. You may also find other assignments or information in the lesson that you need to print. However, try not to print everything, as it is not often a good use of your time or money (and ink is expensive!).2562860590550This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-SA-NCThis Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-SA-NCA Desk Calendar or Planner: A great way to get organized is to get a big desk calendar for your desk that you can write on. Before you begin your week, take your schedule or pace charts and plan out your week! Write down what assignments you will complete each day to stay on track. Don’t forget to also schedule time for your sports, extracurricular activities, time with family and friends, and any other events during the week that are important to you. ................
