February, 2012 Dear Member: The Kansas Turfgrass Foundation is an organization composed of turfgrass professionals from all segments of the industry including golf courses, sports turf, lawn care, grounds, parks and suppliers. Anyone who derives at least part of their income from maintaining, installing, or selling turfgrass, equipment, products or related supplies is eligible for membership. The primary purpose of the Kansas Turfgrass Foundation is to support turfgrass extension, research and education. Members of the turfgrass team at Kansas State University conduct turfgrass research at Manhattan, Olathe, and Wichita to support the needs of the industry. In turn, support from the industry enables this research to be done. Educational programs include the annual turfgrass conference, field day, and the newsletter which is sent quarterly as part of your membership. Research results are published in an annual report provided to members and posted on our web site at . There you'll also find all of our extension publications on turfgrass culture. This statewide organization also offers you an opportunity for professional improvement. Much knowledge is gained by interacting with your colleagues around the state and discussing ideas and problems of mutual concern. This directory is divided into two sections. The first section has KTF members listed by individual and the second half members are listed by business/golf course. We hope you find this directory useful.
