Blossoms endeavors to help each and every student fully develop his or her personality in an atmosphere of love, unity, friendship, cooperation and joy. One of the principles that has guided the establishment of the school is that education should deal with the holistic development of the child. Education is not only academic learning, but is a continuous and creative process. Its aim is to develop the capacities latent in human nature and to coordinate their expression for the enrichment and progress of humanity. Blossoms School gives importance to the intellectual, social, artistic and moral development of children.?Blossoms School has adopted the Montessori system which enables the child to develop a fund of general knowledge as well as familiarity with the basic arithmetical operations, skills in domestic activities along with habits of cleanliness, order and proper social behavior. According to the Montessori system the children are not made to do this or that, but instead are given means to satisfy their urge for activities in which action builds up thoughts and thoughts result in action.Through scientific and human education, we help children to take charge of their own learning and become conscious subjects of their growth. They learn to investigate the reality of all things by developing the skills of observation, experimentation, analysis and divergent thinking. Education imparted at Blossoms School is not limited to book learning alone. Through physical and material education, we take care of the health and hygiene education of the children, and teach them to work together through cooperative learning and games.Academic AchievementThe students of Blossoms School have been going through the CBSE course and following the examination pattern of CBSE. The 2nd batch of students appeared for their Board Examination in March 2019. Out of them 75% passed out with 1st division. Darshana Panda secured 97 in English and 94 in SST, Subhashree Majhi secured 96 in Odia and Ashreeta Baliarsingh secured 92 in Science. AffiliationAs per the online application reference number SL-02296-1617 dated 30.06.2015 and letter no “CBSE/Aff.1530220/SL-02296-1617/2016” dated 28.03.2016 our school got the provisional affiliation No-1530220 from the CBSE board for a period of three years w.e.f 01.04.2016 to 31.03.2019. This affiliation was again extended to March 2020. A two days workshop on capacity building programme for teachers on mathematics on dates 11.09.2018 and 12.09.2018 was organised by CBSE,CEO, BBSR in SAI International School, BBSR. One of the teachers from the school, Mr. Sudeepta Mohanty participated in those two days of programme. In this programme the teachers were given some tips for teaching mathematics effectively on checking the previous knowledge, practice and revision Invovement in the learning resources and connective mathematics in day to day life. Mrs. Kakali Baychi and Dr. R.S.Panday were the resource persons in this programme. Workshop on Hindi A workshop on Hindi was conducted by Sarawati house at Hotel Excellency Ashok Nagar, Bhubaneswar on 28.09.2018. Two teachers namely Mrs. Leena Dash and Mrs. Itishree Sahu of the school had attended this workshop They learned many easy things in grammar that how to change singular to plural, masculine and feminine, difference between anunasik and anuswar, how to write advertisement, notice writing, dialogue writing, etc. International Conference on Marching Beyond the Libaries A two days International Conference was held at KIIT University on 16th and 17th November 2018 on “International Conference on marching beyond the Libraries: Managerial Skill and Technological Competencies”. Mrs. Pramila Sahu attended this Seminar. She also presented a paper entitled “ICT Application in Engineering and Technology, College Libraries of Delhi region: A study”.Capacity building workshop on remodeled assessment structure for secondary classesA Capacity Building workshop on “Remodeled Assessment Structure for Secondary Classes” was held by CBSE(RO) on 08.12.2018 in KIIT International school , Bhubaneswar. The resource person were Mr. E. Daniel Raju, Joint Director, CBSE, CEO, Kakkinada and Mrs Vandna Ibrahim, Principal.The academic co-ordinator of Blossoms Mrs. Seemita Panda was present in the workshop for lean about the newly reformed assessment structure for secondary classes in CBSE School. The distribution of marks, weightage, internal assessment, subject enrichment. Acturtein for different subjects, the time limit for different assessments etc. were all discussed in the workshop. It was a very interactive session and very much informative for all the schools affiliated to CBSE.Capacity Building Workshop on Career Guidance A two days’ workshop on Career Guidance was organized by CBSE on 18th and 19th January, 2019 at DAV Public School. Mrs. Susmita Mitra, TGT participated in this programme. Mrs. Isha Satpathy and Shweta Chhottaray were the Resource person and Guidance Counsellor.Capacity Building Workshop on Remodeled Assessment Structure for Secondary ClassesA two days workshop on “Capacity building programme for teachers on Science” was organised by CBSE,CEO, Bhubaneswar and SAI International School on 12.09.2018 and 13.09.2018 at SAI International School, Bhubaneswar. Two teachers namely Mrs. Rosalin Patra and Mr. Harish Sandhuja of the school attended in this programme. Parents Teachers MeetingDuring the academic year, after each assessment, a parent teachers meeting is being conducted by the school. This meeting takes place as part of the regularly-scheduled conferences held by the school each year. This is a standard part of the school's efforts to build a strong partnership between parents and teachers. Parents-Teachers meeting is helping parents and the child’s teacher find ways to work together to ensure the child’s success. After the parents-teachers meeting, a report is submitted to the Principal, who in turn prepares another report for discussion with the Management based on those report. Career CounsellingThe students of STD-IX and X are going for regular sessions of Career Counseling on monthly basis where professionals from different streams address them and clear their doubts about their future career plan.Learn Through Fun for KGKindergarten Classes at Blossoms are filled with fun. The Play Way approach and the Montessori Method are being applied by the NTT trained teachers. Teaching through fun activities are facilitating learning in early childhood classes at Blossoms Kindergarten. Blossoms School was awarded 2nd rank in Odisha by Education World Magazine, Bangalore. Celebrations and Functions150th Gandhi JayantiBlossoms School, Bharatpur celebrated both the anniversaries of our great freedom fighter and the father of our Nation, the great idol ‘Mahatma Gandhi’ and also our former Prime Minister, Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri on 02.10.2018. The programme started with a welcome speech dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Sashtriji. This was followed by ‘Jyoti Prajwalana’ by the Founder Manager, Mr. Touraj Moghebelpur, Founder Director, Mrs. Nadia Moghebelpur and Principal, Mrs. Seemita Panda. The ceremony proceeded with Bhajans sung by the very talented teachers of the school. Grandparents DayBlossoms School celebrated Grandparents Day on 6.10.2018 in its own premises to show the love and affection for grandparents. Students of pre-primary showcased different cultural activities to mark the occasion. Also grandparents expressed their views and emotions in front of the gathering. They played different games also on this day. The Principal, Mrs. Seemita Panda, Founder Manager Sir and Founder Director Ma’am also addressed the gathering. Vigilance Awareness WeekBlossoms School observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 29th October to 3rd November, based on the theme- ‘Eradicate Corruption – Build a New India’. The students, along with their teachers, took an active part in this observation. Mrs. Seemita Panda, the Principal, addressed the students, especially of class VIII to X emphasizing on the ‘ethics and integrity during examination’. Banners, hoardings, posters were displayed by the students followed by an ‘Integrity Pledge’ inculcating the need of a corruption free India in the students as well as the teachers and other staff members. A seminar was organised too, which was addressed by the advocate of High Court of Odisha, Ms. Chitra Padhi. Students also took part in the panel discussion by providing effective arguments on how to make a corruption free and vigilant India. The week ended with on optimistic thought promising to be vigilant in every sphere and to take active role in creating a corrupt free nation.Unity DayBlossoms School observed Unity Day in the school campus to pay tribute to the Indian Barrister and Statesman, The Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. Students took an active part by speaking and enhancing the knowledge about the importance of unity and the major role played by this legend in the freedom struggle.Diwali and Pre Children’s Day Celebrations at Rotary ClubRotary Club, Bhubaneswar has organized Pre Diwali and Pre Children’s Day Celebrations on 08.11.18 at Rotary Club. Blossoms School sent some of interactors of Interact club along with club President K. Lavanya. The Celebrations has started with a Bhajan by students. The Centre of attraction was the Magic Show. The magician has shown unbelievable magical items. Blossomites also became a part of it. Students from different schools also attended this beautiful event and enjoyed a lot. Some of the Blossomites also performed their talents. Gifts were distributed to the students by the Rotarians. Overall the event was interesting and unique for the students. Interschool Painting CompetitionSahodaya has organized an Interschool Painting Competition on 3rd November 2018 (Saturday) at St. Xavier’s High School, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar. Students from different school were divided into two groups – Junior group (Std- VI - VIII) and Senior group (Std- IX-X). The topics for the painting competition were on ‘Chilika- A host for visiting birds’ for Junior and Safety, Security and dignity for women of my country for Senior group. Miss. Ankita Priyadarshini (Std- IX) for Senior and Miss Sai Preetishree Mekap (Std- VII) for junior participated in the competition accompanied by teacher Miss Shatabdi Nayak. Children’s DayBlossoms School observed Children’s Day in a colourful way. Along with the teachers, the students from Std-I to Std-III took part in a Fancy Dress Competition representing iconic heroes and heroines of our country. Students from Std-IV to Std-X watched children’s movies which they enjoyed a lot. Dandia celebration was organized by the school in which all students in beautiful attires danced to the beats of Dandia music. The celebration ended with a cake cutting by the students and with lots of enjoyment and entertainment for them.Armed Forces Flag DayBlossoms School observed 7th of December as ‘Armed Forces Flag Day’ 0n 07.12.2018 to pay tribute to the fighting and brave lions of the country. To mark this day as important, the students of the school dedicated the song ‘Ae mere watan ke logo’ to these brave and fierce souls. The atmosphere was filled with an aroma of patriotism.?The teachers along with the students motivated and tried to pursue other citizens through a rally to donate generously for their ‘soldiers’ and their families. The school also took an active part in this donation.?Last, but not the least, this event ended with the hoisting of National Flag and singing of National Anthem by each and every one of the school. The Founder Manager Sir, Director Ma’am along with Principal and other teachers paid salute to the tricolor and called out slogans for these great ‘Jawans’.Generosity DayBlossoms School celebrated 'Joy of Giving' on 5th January 2019 (Saturday) in the school premises. As a part of it, winter wear and food items were collected from the students and donated to the poor and needy people who had come to the school premises from the nearby area.Winter CampBlossoms School arranged a Winter Camp in the school premises for all the students and teachers as well, after the tiring periodic test. Students were divided into three groups and were engaged in different activities. The camp opened with a bonfire followed by antakshari, clay modeling and exciting games from classes-I to III. Classes IV to V were engaged in antakshari, dumb charades, games followed by aerobics for the little kids. Students from class-VI to X engaged themselves in treasure hunt, tug of strength and instrumental music was also arranged by the school. To make this camp full of fun for students, fine arts and fun games were also organized and was witnessed by foreign delegates who visited and joined in the camp. Tasty and healthy lunch was provided to the students. The most attractive point of the camp was the ‘Selfie Corner’, where students were dressed in different colourful costumes representing different states of the country. The camp finally ended with the smiling faces of the students expressing their satisfaction gained in the camp. The day was really full of adventure and excitement leaving all happy and exhausted.National Girl Child DayBlossoms School t took an active part in this mission by observing National Girl Child Day in the campus on 24th January 2019. They mainly focused on the issues which are the major causes for the injustice given to girl child. The Principal of school, Mrs. Seemita Panda, inspired the young minds, especially girls to empower themselves and focused on boys too by stating that saving girl child doesn't mean injustice to boys, rather supporting them to maintain equilibrium in society. Students too expressed their views on the theme, promoting mission "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao", that was initiated by our honorable Prime Minister. A dance - drama was performed by the students concerned with female infanticide. Some students had also prepared placards and slogans relating to the theme in a motto to spread awareness among the people about the importance of girl child in the society as well as the nation.Republic DayBlossoms School observed Republic Day in the school premises. The day started with the hoisting of the tricolor flag. This was followed by slogans and march past. The Principal, Mrs. Seemita Panda, addressed the gathering and emphasized on how the students as future citizens can help in the development of the nation. The Chief Guest of the day, Dr. Ashok Panda, addressed. An opening song was sung by the Blossomites. The Founder Manager, Mr. Touraj Moghbelpur, addressed the students with inspirational lines. ‘Blossoms Excellence Awards’ were presented to Prof. Dr. Rajkishore Mishra in the field of Education, Dr. Manoranjan Mishra in the field of Social Work and Sri Amresh Panda in the field of Arts. This was followed by a patriotic dance by the pre-primary students spreading the essence of patriotism in the air. Students prepared speeches is Hindi, English and Odia as a tribute to the great freedom fighters of the country. A Maratha and Odia Drama (EK MANN EK PRAAN) was performed by the students to portray ‘unity’. The day was celebrated with pride and patriotism. The programme ended with distribution of sweets. The whole team of staff did not leave any stone unturned in making this monumental day a memorable one.Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0The much awaited ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0’ started in a very positive note. The advanced infrastructure and technology made it quite interesting for the Blossomites and the teachers. The interactive session resulted in sharing of ideas, thoughts and views about goal setting at large while concentrating more on the upcoming examinations. The students were inspired to a large extent by the examples and situational stories presented by the honourable Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi suggested on using the advanced technology for research and for self-benefit.Martyrs’ Day Of Mahatma GandhiBlossoms School observed the Martyrs’ Day on 30.01.2019 on the occasion of the 71st Death Anniversary of the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The sacrifices and contributions of our freedom fighters were remembered by the students, teachers and other staff members together. The teachings of the great person were remembered and oath was taken to follow the path of ‘Satya’ and ‘Ahimsa’. A 2-minutes silence was also observed as a tribute to the Mahatma and the others who fought for the independence of the nation.?Say No to TobaccoBlossoms School observed the "SAY NO TO TOBACCO" day on 15.02.2019 in the school premises. The students, teachers and all staff members took a pledge against the usage of tobacco. Along with the pledge they all stood committed to restrict the usage of tobacco in the neighbourhood.Homage To The MartyrsA 2-minute silence was observed on 18.02.2019 in the Blossoms Morning Assembly to pay tribute to the martyrs in the Phulwama attack. The commitment, devotion and contribution of our soldiers were narrated by the senior teachers. The students and staffs lighted candles in memory of the deceased and paid homage to them all.Matrubhasa DiwasThe Matrubhasa Diwas was observed in the school on 21.02.2019. The importance of the Matrubhsha was discussed by the teachers and students in the morning assembly. It was discussed at length as to how the expression of thoughts and generation of ideas become easy when the Matrubhasa is used as the medium of communication.Thanks Giving DayBlossoms hands raised on 1st March 2019 to show the appreciation to the supporting staff. We all hope the supporting staff feel pride in their chosen profession, and although they don’t get the recognition they deserve most of the time, their dedication, caring, and expertise will leave life-affirming legacies in the lives you touch. International Women’s DayThe International Women’s Day was observed and celebrated in Blossoms School, Bharatpur, Bhubaneswar on 08.03.2019. The Management praised the contribution of the women in bringing about reforms in the society for the betterment of mankind and the environment. The interactive session on empowering women towards our own development had been quite interesting. Many new ideas were the outcome of the discussion. The importance of gender equality was also discussed at large. World Heath DayBlossoms School observed and celebrated the World Heath Day on 8th April 2019 in an entertaining way. The day that marks the anniversary of the World Health Organisation (WHO) established in 1948 observed as a day for generating health awareness was among the Blossomites. The theme of the year is “Universal Health Coverage” and the slogan being marked as “Health for All”. The Principal Mrs. Seemita Panda gave the welcome address followed by the speeches, Skits and other cultural programs by the students promoting the need to have good health. Dr. P.K.Mishra who is currently the visiting paedatrician to Johnson Robertwood Medical College NJ, USA, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Founder Manger, Mr.Touraj Moghbelpour and Director, Mrs. Nadia Moghbelpour were also present on the occasion to inspire the children towards maintaining personal health and hygiene. Yoga Day and the World Music DayThe fifth International Day of Yoga, also known as Yoga Day was celebrated in Blossoms School on 21.06.2019. It also happened to be the World Music Day. The celebrations commenced with the chanting of shlokas from ‘The Upanishad’ by Mrs. Harapariya Pati, the music teacher & her team members. They gave an aesthetic pleasure to the staff & students at Blossoms School. This was followed by meditation and performance of yogasanas by the students and the staff members under the guidance of the yoga instructor, Mrs. Mamata Mohanty. The benefits of yoga were discussed by the instructor and the students enjoyed the yoga lessons very much. It was unanimously accepted that yoga was not just a set of exercises but the real passport to health and fitness. Van MahostavVan Mahostav (Plantation Day) was celebrated on 08.07.2019 with pomp and joy by students and teachers in Blossoms School. Students delivered speech and performed activities also. Students also planted saplings in school premises. Schools Founder Manager, Mr. Touraj Moghbelpour graced the programme and also taken active participation. Principal Mrs. Seemita Panda encouraged the students about importance of Van Mohostav. Eye Checkup CampBlossoms School organized a three-days free eye checkup camp in its premises from 23rd July, 2019 to 25th July, 2019 for the benefit of the students and the staff. The Camp provided its students and staff easy access to eye health and disorders besides early detection of eye disorders or ailments, if any. Few cases were referred for further evaluation as swell. The Pre-primary, Primary and secondary students showed immense interest in the program by participating actively in the program and turning up in full strength. The students also quenched their thirst on gaining knowledge on eye disorders from the professionals Dr. Nazama Sumano Alam and Dr. Srikanta Kumar Kar from AGS Hospitals, Bhubaneswar. Kargil DiwasOn 26 July, 2019, Blossoms School has celebrated the 20th anniversary of the victory of the Indian Armed Forces in ‘Operation Vijay’ against the infiltrating Pakistani troops named ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’. The anniversary is observed each year across the nation to show respect and gratitude to the brave servicemen of the armed forces who laid down their lives to re-capture all positions that had been seized by Pakistan Army. A very informative yet heartwarming speech was given by the Co-ordinator Mrs. Indurekha Srivastava. It was followed by the lighting of the torch symbolizing Kargil Victory Flame by Founder Manager Sir, Mr. Touraj Moghbelpour, Founder Director Ma’am, Mrs. Nadia Moghbelpour & Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Seemita Panda to pay homage and also to mark and honour the sacrifices laid down by the 527 martyrs and many others who fight in the wars for our nation. Navonmesh– 3.0Blossoms School successfully organized the Science Exhibition, Navonmesh – 3.0 in its premises on 08.08.2019. The Founder Manager, Mr. Touraj Moghbelpour inaugurated the ceremony. The panel of judges considered it a challenge when the Jury member had to decide upon the winners in each category. The students and teachers of other nearby reputed schools were also invited along with the parents and other reputed personalities in the society. Under the guidance of Mrs. Seemita Panda, Principal and Mrs. Laxmipriya Panda, Event Co-ordinator, Blossoms School, the Blossomites were encouraged in their endeavor to look out for solutions for the amelioration of the mankind and the society as a whole.Independence DayOn 15.08.2019, when history marked the 73rd Independence Day of India, the Blossoms family also paid their tribute to the freedom fighters who unconditionally laid down their lives to give us a free nation. The day that commemorates the complete independence from the British rule was celebrated in the school premises with a lot of enthusiasm and display of energy and vigor by the students and Management. (Retd.) Maj. Gen. B.K. Mohanti, recipient of AVSM, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest shared his experiences as a military personnel and also suggested ways on how the students could do their best for the country. The Founder Manager, Mr. Touraj Moghbelpour also stated a few instances by which students should feel privileged of being in free India. The Principal, Mrs. Seemita Panda in her speech encouraged the students to look for solutions to the problems that the country is facing for reaching the spot of the most developed nation in the world. The school Souvenir, “INSPIRATION - 2019” was also released on the occasion. Educational TripEducation is not confined to the course books alone. Blossoms believes that education is attained better beyond the classrooms as well. Hence, educational trips are planned round the year to give the students better insights to the knowledge gained. This year the educational trip to the?State Museum, Bhubaneswar on 20th and 22nd of August 2019 for the students of classes –I to X was worth the visit. The students got a better understanding of the Indian History. The coins used in ancient era, the tools and equipments for livelihood of the common man or the ornaments and the weaponry of the rulers, all induced the anxiety among the students to learn more of those bygone days.National Sports DayBlossoms School has always given importance to sports along with the other attributes needed for the development of its students. The?National Sport Day?was hence observed in the school with great enthusiasm. The morning exercises conducted in the assembly marked the opening of the day-long celebration on 29.08.2019. The Principal, Mrs. Seemita Panda addressed the students and talked about the importance and the origination of the day. Few students also put forward their ideas and opinions about sports and its importance in the students’ lives. Special tribute was paid to Major Dhyanchand as the day is celebrated to mark his birth anniversary. The School arranged the live telecast of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s speech on “#Fit_India_Movement” for the students. The direct interaction helped in taking sports to new heights in the priority list of the students.Teachers’ DayTeaching is the profession that teaches all the other professions”. The Teachers’ day was celebrated on 05.09.2019 in a unique way by the students in Blossoms School making every teacher feel special and proud to pay tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his 131st birth anniversary in the common special assembly. The cultural programs presented by the students depicted their affection towards their teachers.
