Chris led the Vestry in prayer at the Rectory.Review of MinutesJeanne Percival asked if there were any additions or corrections for the minutes of the previous January 9, 2020 Vestry meeting. Mark Korzelius motioned to accept the minutes, and the motion was seconded by Sharon Jones. The minutes were passed by a unanimous vote.Monthly FinancesTreasurer’s Report for January 2020 - Mike SomerOperating Fund???? $ 23,293Capital Fund?????????? 16,360Gift Fund??????????????? 7,124Total ?????????????????? $46,777Amber Root stated that Parish Giving is down, and that attendance seems to be down, and there are no 5-Sunday months until MarchPaula Cramer is updating the budget to include the supply weeks for Fr. Tom, and then only 3-units after 3/15/20, and no health insurance includedIt was decided to have a short Vestry meeting after the 10am service on 3/8/20 to discuss moving forward with Fr. TomTransitionSearch Team UpdateAmber Root stated that the position is posted, and will be presented nationally on 3/9/20 at the National Conference for Transition Officers. Allie and Dave Porter are currently working on updating our website as there will be more traffic.Eric Boron suggested to possibly finish the appliance package and post pictures of the Rectory, at least the kitchen and bathrooms, for potential candidates to view.Rectory Renovation UpdateA discussion took place regarding the appliance package presented by Julie DeAngelo, and Sharon Jones motioned to purchase the appliance package. The motion was seconded by Irene Ehde. The motion was passed by a unanimous vote.A discussion took place regarding the remaining items that need to be completed in the Rectory, and Julie DeAngelo possibly hiring an outside "handyman" to finish the items. Sharon Jones motioned to allow Julie DeAngelo to go through the Rectory with a "handyman" to see what items still need to be completed according to the list, and give us one or two estimates, and a timeline of completion, beginning with the bathrooms and kitchen. The motion was seconded by Lynn Clark. The motion was passed by a unanimous vote.Sharon Jones also motioned to authorize Jeanne Percival to approve Julie DeAngelo to move forward with a hired "handyman" and give the funds needed to do so. The motion was seconded by Irene Ehde. The motion was passed by a unanimous vote.New BusinessFr. Tom HawkinsFr. Tom will be meeting with the Wardens and Parish Secretary on Thurs. 2/20/20As stated in the Agenda: Fr. Tom Hawkins (appointed by Canon Cathy) will be our supply priest from 2/23-3/8. Provided we are all satisfied with his ministry, his contract will go into effect 3/15 w/3 units of time per week.Sound System UpdateAudioOne is here now installing the system, and hoping to get a majority of the installation completed tonightName on Bank Accounts UpdatedIrene Ehde motioned to authorize Deanna to handle changes at the Grand Island branch of Northwest Bank involving all 8 of our accounts. The motion was seconded by Amber Root. The motion was passed by a unanimous vote.Jeanne Percival motioned to appoint Mike Somer as Vestry Treasurer, and Deanna-Marie Nati as Vestry Clerk for 2020. The motion was passed by a unanimous vote.Nursery AttendantThe job is being advertised on:Diocesan Grand Island PennySaver?Island DispatchAmber Root suggested having a sign-up sheet for the Nursery for Sundays to coverJack & JillAs stated in the Agenda: Jack & Jill have been notified that their rent will go up to $600 per month and will remain that amount through the 2021-22 school year.Jeanne Percival stated that we have to let Jack & Jill know by February that the rent will increase in September of that year. Jeanne stated that Jack & Jill will have a guaranteed rate of $600 per month and will not increase for 2 school yearsSummer Art "Camp"The Vestry discussed setting parameters for this group if they are approved to use the space, such as not allowing use of the classrooms, etc.The Vestry also discussed how to charge for renting this space.Eric Boron discussed how important it is for groups that use our facility to have their own liability insurance. Deanna will contact Bonnie and ask if they can provide liability insurance and the Vestry will then discuss further. Diocesan Convention delegatesThe Vestry will need to start thinking about Diocesan Convention delegates because the names need to be submitted by June 1.Convention is November 6-7, 2020 in Niagara Falls, NYVestry Liaison ReportsChristian Ed - Jeanne Percival stated that the plane tickets for the pilgrimage have been purchased for July 16-23 and they will be leaving out of Toronto.Funerals - Marylou Pohl stated that since there is no transition priest, she will look for assistance. Jeanne Percival stated that Fr. Tom will be the first to call, and Amber Root stated that Canon Cathy has offered to assist as well.Office - Deanna received a call from the Thursday night AA group, and they would like to schedule their Anniversary Party on 6/25/20 beginning at 5pm instead of 7pm. Deanna has updated this on the munications – no update at this timeScheduling - *please see Office for updateBuildings & Grounds - Mark Korzelius stated that Ken Killian and himself and Mike Pohl replaced a toilet in the men's restroom downstairs. The Vestry stated that the women's restroom needs a new one as well. Mark Korzelius to follow-up with Ken Killian.Active Shooter ProtocolAmber Root discussed some information that she gathered regarding training for St. Martin's. Neil from the Erie County Sherriff's Office would be able to provide a vulnerability assessment and also conduct an orientation for civilian response to an active shooter. The training is about 90-120 min, and he has evening availability.
