The VA is exploring and evaluating new practices to ensure that hepatitis C--infected veterans receive the best possible health care. These patients have their own unique set of needs stemming from such problems as deficits in disease-related knowledge, stress due to social stigma, and medical and psychiatric comorbidity. ................
