Turn them in please.AAHA Admin Report – President commented on great job being done by Charlie in the face of very difficult circumstances this season. BoD asked to take a moment and thank him for his efforts. Hockey Operations Report – No report – Meeting took place today – Tier II games to be completed by Feb 11th – Tournament begins Feb 25th/AZYHL games completed by March 7th Background Screening / Safe Sport Report – No reportBy-Laws and Policy Report – See new business and submitted policy change submissionsCoaching Report – Try Goalie for Free Day a great success. Thanks to all involved/Coaches needing temporary cards need to complete application for virtual training and the actual training by Dec 31st. Larry recommends requesting applications immediately as clinic space and availability will be diminished as holidays approach. Disciplinary Report – Submitted Electronically – Discussion of Mite full ice game violations/Committee asked to review discipline administered to Bobcats based on precedence set with previous case. Bruce agreed to discuss and review with committee. Bruce added this period of time has been very busy for the committee and thanked all participants for their time and effort. Officiating Report: USA Hockey – Submitted ElectronicallyOfficiating Report: AHRA – Submitted Electronically – AHRA asked for comment regarding costs for teams with COVID cancellations. AHRA continuing with cancellation fees for cancellations less than 48 hours before game time citing negative impact on referees and difficulty due to lower numbers of referees this season. There is still no fee for games canceled outside of 48 hours. All agree it is a very difficult issue and even with a strong policy, would be hard to enforce. There was discussion of creating statewide list of teams currently in quarantine to discourage participation prior to the completion of quarantine period. Biggest overall concern is when a player or team is shut down from one rink and then going to another rink for power skating, skills sessions, etc. Members were asked to remind players and families not to do this.Travel permit – Current travel permit process working well for incoming out of state teams. Policy change recommendations – President added Hockey Operations committee recommendation to change the length of association Tier I approval to two or three years. Policy change language to be provided tomorrow (12-15) Questions concerning “Out of State Player” policy referred to policy committeeTreasurer Nomination – Marty Lorenzo nomination for Treasurer: Bruce Urban/2ND Kristy Aguirre – Roll call vote – Unanimous approval.
