01 December 2018 10:30haven't tried the Cruise Control clue you gave yet. However, is it possible that the there is a short or poor connection atop the transaxle electrical feed to the s.valve B, i.e. I had a ground hog warming on the transaxle issue a while back that the dealer fixed with tape insulations, etc. ($550) but insurance covered cost minus deductible, 01 December 2018 10:36 RmldaytonaToyota Mechanic18bc69331-8e41-4ba6-8ea0-d75bfced5de3_1.pdf 01 December 2018 10:44 RmldaytonaToyota Mechanic1ef839097-98e7-479a-969b-d4c5046620ef_1.png 01 December 2018 10:58 RmldaytonaToyota Mechanic17292ed33-841d-4c35-9026-1c082ff9b0ee_2.pdf 08 December 2018 06:26Still looking for someone locally, preferably a Toyota Mechanic, that can physically check the electrical supply wires as was suggested to solenoid 2 and/or the Cruise Control. If OK then would proceed with the diagnostic of the S.V.# 2. The car currently was taken to an AAMCO service station with the above info and schematics. 11 December 2018 11:10I have some follow-up questions for my Toyota Mechanic Rmldaytona and like to receive another phone call 11 December 2018 12:38 RmldaytonaToyota MechanicI'm currently at work so I'm unable to take a phone call. However, please let me know what I can further help you with.11 December 2018 01:20Robert, I took the camry (2000LE) on the express way and tested the Cruise Control. It worked perfectly and functionally normally but is it a good test or should I still disconnect it? I can clear the code with the FIXD OBDII but should it not give me another "open" or code related to the CCM? Tried Reverse, "R" comes up OK (not sure about backup lights) and engine can be revved but still no reverse engagement. Next week hope to work with a shop who agreed to do work with/for me in their heated facility , including a lift for the next phase if necessary. BTW is it also possible to get a positive 12 v grounded signal and fused jumper (i.e. an 8 ft or so wire from maybe a head light) e.g from the ECM to Sol.2? to check if reverse will engage as a test of the solenoid. If not success than would replacing the sol. in the valve body be the last option. Replacing the whole valve body I've priced at $900 without labor, etc. Pls advise. 11 December 2018 01:24As a final option I have priced a 1 yr warrantied replacement transaxle with 75K miles for about $500 pus free shipping but don't have a shop/independent mechanic to put it in. 11 December 2018 01:50 RmldaytonaToyota MechanicDisconnect the cruise control module for the test.Nothing ill set a code related to the CCM. It is not a monitored item by the computer so no codes will set.Using a light bulb is an acceptable test to see if the computer is engaging the solenoid. If the lightbulb lights up, then the solenoid can be condemned.Lastly, a 75K mile transmission for $500 and a 1 year warranty is an exceptional find for this year vehicle. I is an option I would consider. If you need anything else please let me know. Thanks, Robert. My goal is to provide you with excellent service. If you are satisfied, please rate me.
