This event is a qualifier for the AAU Nationals held this Year again at the MGM Grand Las Vegas and the Junior Olympic Games held this year in Greensboro, NC

This event is licensed by the Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S., Inc. All participants must have a current AAU membership. AAU membership may not be included as part of the entry fee to the event. AAU Youth Athlete membership must be obtained before the competition begins, except where the event operator has a laptop

available with an internet connection. Be Prepared: Adult and Non-Athlete memberships are no longer instant and cannot be applied for at an event. Due to background screenings, please allow up to 10 days for adult

Black Belt competition will be held using KP&P electronic hogus. All Black Belts will be required to have KP&P foot socks and WT approved hand gloves to compete. Gloves can be purchased at the tournament for $20, ver. 1 & 2 socks for $50, ver. 3 for $100 (limited amtsto ensure you have one, order from me or Vision prior to tournament)

AAU Membership:

License #2KOZTW2226. This is an AAU licensed tournament. AAU membership is required for all competitors, coaches, and officials prior to the event. Cost of membership: Coach/Official = $16, Youth Athlete = $14, Adult Athlete (18 & older) = $24. Your membership number will be required during online registration. Athlete Fees:

1 Individual event - $50 $10 for each additional event entered (see below for early reg. discounts) Team forms $30 per team (One person must register and pay for entire team)

Coach and Spectator Fees:

There is no fee for spectators. There is no fee for coaches who have taken the clinic and registered online prior to the event. There will be a $15 fee charged for coaches who do have not taken the clinic and pre-registered online prior to the registration deadline.

Athlete Registration Registration deadline is May 22. There will be a $10 early registration discount for entries made

Deadline:

by 4/24. Regular entry fees apply to entries made from 4/25 ? 5/22. A $15 late fee will apply to

entries made 5/23- 5/25. Absolutely no registrations will be accepted after May 25.

Awards:

AAU Association Championship medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places for all events. AAU ribbons will be awarded for 5th thru 8th competitors.

Equipment:

Equipment requirements will follow AAU rules with the exception of gear color. Foam swords will be provided for foam sword sparring, as will face shields for those competitors needing them.

Other Information:

This event qualifies the top 8 competitors in each division for the 2022 AAU TKD National Championships being held in at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas July 3-9. All competitors will also be qualified for the J.O. Games which will be held in Greensboro, NC 7/29-8/2. Information on both events can be found at the AAU-TKD website at .

All coaches are required to complete the online coaches' clinic and referees are required to attend an officials' clinic prior to working this event or any national event. Officials and coaches clinic information can be found at the AAU website

Officials Information

I would like to thank all officials in advance for your support and dedication to making this event a success. All properly attired, AAU certified officials who work as a judge or referee for the ENTIRE day will receive an expense stipend. (Black Belts and adults who compete and officiate the rest of the day will be considered as officiating the entire tournament).

Coaches Information

I would like to thank you in advance for supporting this event with your athlete participation. I hope your experience brings you back to many AAU events in the future. There is NO COACHES FEE for this event, however, you must have completed the online coaches' clinic prior to this event. The online clinic can be taken by going to the AAU Taekwondo website at .

Out of town coaches will receive one hotel room night or stipend equivalency for every 10 competitors. Contact Pat Weseman to book room. In town coaches will receive hotel room equivalency stipend for every 20 competitors.

You MUST also register online as a coach so a badge can be created for check-in the day of the tournament. Any coach not registering online will be charged a $15 fee at the door to coach.
