Mary Trumm Unit 1: VerbsI. Goals: Students will be able to understand what verbs are and where they belong in a sentence. They will be able to differentiate between nouns and verbs. This will give a proper foundation for the students for these objectives:CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.1.1.CUse singular and plural nouns with matching verbs in basic sentences (e.g., He hops; We hop).CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.1.1.EUse verbs to convey a sense of past, present, and future (e.g., Yesterday I walked home; Today I walk home; Tomorrow I will walk home).II. Specific ways to integrate subjects to curriculum: Teach them the basics of what verbs are. Play games so that they enjoy learning about verbs and assess whether they understand the difference from nouns by asking them questions, watching them during games, and checking worksheets.
