The Aberdeen Centre schedule of events continues as follows;

Tuesday 22nd June as Chairman of the Aberdeen Centre I attended the annual student prize giving at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen and handed over cheques and commemorative scrolls to the CIOB prize winners. This year the ceremony was brought forward to coincide with the End of Year Show at the Robert Gordon University.

Wednesday 30th June the Aberdeen Centre committee were lucky enough to be invited to visit the new £ 32 million Library building at Aberdeen University. The building site is presently dominated by a 60 metre high tower crane that serves a seven storeys high structure. The basement will be include a sophisticated humidity system to create the correct environment to hold treasured manuscript and treasured documents. The iconic building is being built by Pihl ( UK ) Ltd.

The CIOB centre and the whole organisation benefits greatly from the fresh ideas new members can bring. Any member, new or existing, who wishes to be more active in the running of centre events is encouraged to contact me to discuss how their interest may be best utilised.
