Abstract

Pilot Test. We created one concrete and one abstract quote for nine topics from major political stories, drawing on quotations from the president or presidential candidates in fall 2011. To ensure these quotations differed in abstraction, but were of similar valence, these materials were pilot tested on 29 mTurk participants. ................
