Students will work individually on the project.Pre-Assessment: (How will you find out about where your students are at for this lesson? What will your pre-assessment look like?Students will discuss the vocabulary for the lesson as a whole group. If they do not know the vocabulary I will talk with them about the word and teach them what it means. They will write the words down in their sketchbooks.Examples: Steps in the Lesson:Include ideas for whole-class instructions, differentiated activities, guided notes/practice, independent work, engagement strategies, etc…Day 1: Powerpoint about abstract art. Watercolor techniques practice.Day 2: Set up painting backgrounds, begin painting abstract background.Day 3: Finish painting abstract backgrounds if needed. Begin painting tree silhouettes.Day 4: Finish painting tree silhouettes.
