POSITION: High School Program Coordinator

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The High School Coordinator assists state, secondary and postsecondary leadership in the planning and development of career programs of study. These programs, articulation and dual enrollment opportunities, lead to either an industry-recognized credential, postsecondary certificate of credit, diploma, or associate’s degree. The High School Coordinator plans, coordinates and implements student recruitment activities for schools, community organizations, businesses and non-profit organizations. The Coordinator provides state and federal program information and coordinates the processing of applications for admission and registration. Additionally, the Coordinator may supervise subordinate employees.

JOB DUTIES:

Managerial

• Coordinates the development of up-to-date Dual Enrollment program and articulation information to implement college processes on the awarding of college credit

• Serves as a point of contact to high schools to promote a seamless guidance system between secondary and post-secondary institutions.

• Serves as a point of contact for internal faculty and staff regarding the dual enrollment and general recruitment.

• Communicates and educates schools, community and internal staff and faculty about general recruitment efforts and the dual enrollment and articulation programs at the college

• Coordinates and facilitates secondary/postsecondary activities such as annual advisory meetings as well as identifies and implements new initiatives with Dual Enrollment and articulation in conjunction with Academic Affairs.

• May supervise subordinate employees.

• Other related duties as assigned.

Operational

• Works with the TCSG and GADOE for current program information and guidelines

• Coordinates with internal Records staff to ensure Dual Enrollment applicants' files are processed

• Coordinates with financial aid staff regarding processes for Financial Aid, SAP, and GSFC application for Dual Enrollment students in a professional and timely manner.

• Verifies students are in appropriate program of study based on the approved DE course directory with GSFC.

• Performs student outreach functions for both general and dual enrollment recruitment in the community with regard to businesses and organizations (phone calls, emails, correspondence, meetings, advisory sessions, etc.).

Administrative

• Develops and facilitates the DE admissions process, including placement testing, application process and transfer of transcripts

• Coordinates with high schools, the registration and withdrawal of students, schedules, midterms and final transcripts for students in the DE program in an organized and timely manner.

• Develops, coordinates, and delivers DE orientation and registration sessions.

• Coordinates the book distribution and book return with Library Services for Dual Enrolled students

• Manages communication of DE TEAMS alerts.

• Facilitates the transition of students from DE to general students.

• Assists and oversees updating for DE marketing and recruitment materials.

• Maintains documentation of policy changes as they occur on a local and state level as well as federal level with Perkins and SACSCOC and keeps all Team Members updated with changes in a timely manner.

• Provides communication with prospective and current students via dual.enroll@chattahoocheetech.edu

• Submits monthly activity report.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree required in a course of study related to the occupational field.

• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years’ experience or service.

• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

SALARY/BENEFITS: $41,566.16 annual salary. Benefits include: paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.
