1. Georgia Business Aviation Association & Foundation Scholarship – up to $5,000, Deadline: March 1, 2018

Eligibility:

• Be a GA high school graduate from an accredited GA school

• Be enrolled as a full-time student or be accepted as a full-time student into an accredited/FAA approved college program pursuing an aviation-related certificate or undergraduate degree in the fields of flight technology, aviation maintenance technology, aviation operations, aviation management, or aeronautical engineering.

• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better

2. North Georgia Community Foundation Scholarships – amount varies – Deadline: March 15, 2018

Eligibility:

• Complete a common application and it will match you to the scholarships you are eligible for.

• This is a local scholarship and Banks County High School specific

3. American Pest Control’s Gene Higginbotham Memorial Scholarship – Deadline: March 16, 2018

Applications in the Google Classroom and on school website –

Eligibility:

• Accepted to an accredited college or university

• Have at least a 3.0 high school cumulative grade point average and a 900 combined SAT score and/or ACT score of 17

• Applicant must reside in an American Pest Control service location. Service areas can be found on

• One letter of recommendation and a copy of a transcript

4. Banks County Cattlemen’s Scholarship in Honor of Bob Waldorf – Deadline: March 30, 2018

Eligibility:

• Be a student that fits one or more of these criteria:

o A Banks County 4-H Member

o A Banks County FFA Member

o A student not involved in either group above but who has selected a Major in the Ag field

o A Student who is entering a field of technical or trade school that is in direct support of Agriculture

• Write an essay on the following topic: What lessons in Agriculture have you learned during your time in Banks County and how do you plan to use your education in the Ag field?

5. Cody Gowder Memorial Scholarship – Deadline: March 30, 2018

Eligibility:

• Minimum high school GPA of 3.0

• Must have participated in a sports program at BCHS

• Essay (500 words or less) outlining post high school plans

6. Mended Hearts Chapter #171 Scholarship - $500 – Deadline: March 31, 2018

Applications on Google Classroom and on school website –

Eligibility:

• Be accepted or already enrolled in a college or technical school

• Complete application, provide resume of activities and submit an essay describing your career aspirations

• Must state in essay that you will be able to attend Mended Hearts’ April 16th meeting with your parents

• Include two reference letters

7. Meadows Surgical Arts Scholarship - $1,000 – Deadline: March 31, 2018

Eligibility:

• Must have a 3.5 GPA or higher

• Three-page essay on how your extracurricular activities, community involvement, and life experiences shaped who you are, and how that guided your decision to pursue the medical field.

8. Constitutional Officers’ Association of Georgia, Inc. Scholarship - $500 - $1,500 , Deadline: March 31, 2018

Eligibility:

• You must be seeking an undergraduate degree in a field related to government/law enforcement, political science, accounting/finance or business, pre-law

• Submit 1,000 word essay on the topic: How do the duties and responsibilities of the Constitutional Officers in your county work together to serve the people of the county? Pick two offices and explain.
