Scholarship Application deadline for Jefferson Scholars and Harry F. Byrd has been extended. Please provide Ms. Raber with an academic resume by Thursday, October 17th, if you are interested in applying.Attention Seniors: Applications for the English Honors Society are now available. If you take AP/ Dual 12 or English 12 CB, in the classroom or online, please see your English teacher as soon as possible. ?This is for seniors only.PSAT will be administered at HVHS this Saturday, October 19, 2019 for the students who registered. Testing will begin at 8:00 a.m. Students should arrive by 7:45 a.m.? Please have all necessary testing supplies, as we are not allowed to loan items on testing day. Check the list of approved calculators in your PSAT practice book that you received the day you registered. If your calculator is not on the approved list, you will test without a calculator.? Sleep well, eat well, and remember your pencils, erasers, calculator, student ID number, and a snack to be consumed during designated break. A photo ID is required if you are testing at a school you do not normally attend. (When you take the SAT or ACT, photo ID will be required for every test taker.)????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Our archery club will once again be doing a community service project this year. Last year we collected 75 coats, some hats, gloves and scarves to give to the homeless at the rescue mission and salvation army. We would like to ask for your help this year by bringing? in any gently used coats (all sizes from infants to adults).? Our goal is to collect 175 coats by Thanksgiving break.? If any teachers would like to use this for a community service grade in your class for a student, please let us know as we can write a verification letter.? All coats will be delivered by November 17th.We will have drop boxes available in the commons and in the main hall near the entrance of the school beginning Tuesday, October 1.Thanks for all you do and for supporting a great project.Beta Club members – You may earn volunteer hour credit by collecting items for this community service project.
