NEW ADMISSIONS CRITERIA FOR UIVERSITY SYSTEM OF GEORGIAATTENTION STUDENTS!!!!! Due to the cancellation of the remaining ACT/SAT test dates the University System of Georgia has waived all SAT and ACT test requirements. What does this mean???? You can apply to any state colleges, state universities, comprehensive universities and research universities (i.e., GA State, Georgia Southern University, Kennesaw State University etc.) in the USG for the summer or fall 2020 semester and be accepted based upon the GPA below as well as other admission requirements. Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Georgia have already admitted their freshmen classes, and have students on waiting lists, this change does not affect admissions at those institutions. Prospective first year students must meet all other admission requirements, including satisfactory completion of the Required High School Curriculum and all other requested documentation. Institutions will make admissions decisions based on the materials that are submitted, as well as the minimum GPA listed below:Type of InstitutionMinimum unweighted high-school GPA*Research 3.0Comprehensive 2.31State University 2.18State College 2.0STUDENTS WHO WHERE PREVIOUSLY DENIED ADMISSIONSIf you were previously denied, you may be admitted under these temporary provisions.
