4191002095502019 South Bingham Soil Conservation ScholarshipThe South Bingham Soil Conservation District is proud to offer 1 scholarship to a deserving high school senior from the South Bingham Area in 2019. The scholarship will be in the amount of $1,000 and dispersed over two years in the amount of $500 each year. Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 to be eligible. The competition is open to all high school students in the Aberdeen and Springfield communities. The scholarship will recognize a student who combines academic achievement with a desire to learn about and further the cause of conservation.Applicants are required to provide a completed application with conservation essay a recent photograph (for publicity purposes) one letter of supportan official high school transcript, verification of their grade point average and class rank. To receive 1st year payout, scholarship recipients must offer proof of enrollment in a conservation-related class at an accredited college by December 1, 2019. To receive 2nd year payout, scholarship recipients must offer proof of enrollment in a conservation-related class at an accredited college AND show that college GPA is at least a 2.5. Examples of classes include but are not limited to: Range Management, Ecology, Bio ethics, Soil Science, Ecology, Population Dynamics, Wildlife Biology, Forestry, Fisheries Biology, Climate Change Studies, etc. All application materials should be returned to by Monday, April 30, 2019 by 4:00 PM.
