He started developing disorders such as hysteria, psychopathy, and megalomania. This is what led to his own downfall because he was always worried a smart man he was but he was always paranoid. The years in Vienna and on the battlefield were important stages for Hitler's development of a comprehensive ideology. His service in the army in 1919 appears to have shaped his commitment to an antisemitism based on social Darwinist race-theory and the establishment of a unifying nationalism founded on the need to combat the external and internal power of the Jews. On September 16, 1919, Hitler issued his first written comment on the so-called Jewish Question. He defined the Jews as a race and not a religious community, characterized the effect of a Jewish presence as a “race-tuberculosis of the peoples," and identified the initial goal of a German government to be discriminatory legislation against Jews. The “ultimate goal must definitely be the removal of the Jews altogether.”Adolf’s HealthAdolf Hitler had several health issues, both physically and mentally. He would support this in others by showing horrific images of slaughtered animals at a social event in order to get his guests to be appalled by meat. He also avoided consuming alcohol in public, only drinking beer or wine in private until giving it up completely because of weight gain. He also was a heavy smoker in his youth, smoking about 25-40 cigarettes every day. He later quit stating it was a “waste of money” and offered each of his close associates a gold watch if they gave up the habit. He started his use of amphetamines after 1937 and became addicted in late 1942 which led to the linking of his use of these drugs to his irrational decision making. He was given around 90 medications in the duration of the war regularly ingesting methamphetamine, barbiturates, opiates, and cocaine. He attained Parkinson’s disease before the war but it had worsened by the end. His personal physician was Theodor Morell. Adolf Hitler had also had a small stroke later in his life. Yet just how ''mad'' Hitler was, and how much of the evil he perpetrated can be attributed to illness, either physical or mental, has been a subject of disagreement among historians.he experienced severe abdominal spasms, as well as belching, bloating and constipation. Beginning in the 1930's, he complained of buzzing and ringing in his ears. He was afflicted with hypertension, headaches and heart trouble. And he had problems with his vision: After a mustard gas injury in World War I, he experienced two episodes of ''blindness,'' at least one of which Dr. Redlich judges to have been hysterical, and in later years Hitler described eye pain and hazy vision, ''as if he was viewing objects through a thin veil.'' Toward the end of his life, the Nazi leader also suffered from Parkinson's syndrome.?? ................
