Hillsborough County Public Schools Extended School Year 2019 Adult Education Program

Co-Enrolled Adult Credit Classes

District high schools may co-enroll students into the Adult General Education program where students exhibit an educational need which can more effectively be served by the adult program when such courses are required for high school graduation.

Day, evening and online credit courses are available for co-enrolled students. Classes are offered from June 4 ? July 18, 2019. Students must register at the school for all classes. Classes held on campus require daily attendance. Completion of all course work and exams are required for a student to earn credit. There is no charge for students who have not surpassed the two core course limit. Transportation will NOT be provided. Refer to the table below for program locations, days and times.

Permission to Attend

High school students wishing to attend the adult program must first consult with their high school guidance counselor to determine their eligibility to attend. If a student meets the eligibility criteria, they must obtain and complete a " Letter of Authorization to Enroll in an Adult Education Course." The letter must be signed by the high school principal or designee. The student must present this signed "Letter of Authorization" to the adult school when registering for the summer term. Preregistration for the adult summer term will begin at all adult school sites on May 6, 2019. Co-enrolled students will be registered by grade level with priority given to seniors.

Hillsborough County Public Schools Extended School Year 2018 Adult Education Program

General Educational Development (GED) Classes

Day, evening and online GED classes are offered for seniors who have not met graduation requirements, have not passed FCAT, and who wish to pursue a state of Florida high school diploma via the GED option. Day, evening and online GED classes are offered June 4 ? July 18, 2019. Students can register for a GED class at any school site listed below. The fee for GED classes is $45. The GED testing fee is $128 or $32 per subtest and is paid online through the Pearson Vue GED testing service. Transportation will NOT be provided. Refer to the table below for program locations, days and times.
