These individuals are eligible for Health Homes and/or have a Behavior Point Score (BPS) of 12 or higher,Currently, Individual Providers (IPs) are trained to assist clients with personal care tasks and skills acquisition assistance. These tasks are essential to maintaining basic health and safety and help individuals remain in their own homes. Individuals eligible for/or served under the Health Home program and individuals with increased behavioral health needs may benefit from providers who have additional training to address the increased needs of this population.AHCAS Training focuses on:Increasing client ability to manage careRecognize risk factorsLiving safely in the communityMoving from reactive care and treatment to proactive health promotionLearning self-management skillsEncouraging individual power and choiceHelps build resilienceWHAT’S NEW, CHANGED, OR CLARIFIED:The AHCAS training for IPs is no longer in pilot status and is now available to all eligible participants. If the IP does not have a current client they will NOT get paid for the remainder of the training.Once an IP is eligible they remain AHCAS eligible regardless of any change related to their client(s).An IP who is eligible may register for training even if they are no longer working with any client at all. However, that provider cannot be paid to attend training.AHCAS Program Managers determine eligibility and communicate that to the Training Partnership.
