Mojgan Moshgbar - Director/ Team Leader, Advanced Manufacturing Technology Team, Pfizer Global Technology Services, PGS.Mojgan Moshgbar has 22 years of experience in advanced and intelligent manufacturing technology development. She joined Pfizer in 2002, providing technology and production support for the company’s largest manufacturing site in Kalamazoo, MI. In 2005, she transferred to Kalamazoo’s API Manufacturing Technology team, leading Continuous Process Improvement and Complex Troubleshooting projects. Since 2007, Dr. Moshgbar has led a dedicated team focused on the development of innovative platform technologies at Pfizer. This team has provided solutions using integrated Process Analytical Technology, Advanced Process Models, Soft Sensors, Intelligent Process Monitoring, and Real-time Control and Optimization strategies. These solutions have been optimizing manufacturing performance and process reliability across the Pfizer Global Manufacturing Supply network, including the SOD, API, Aseptic, and Bio plants. Her team also contributes to a number of key joint projects with other Pfizer teams, developing the next generation of modular, continuous, and flexible manufacturing technologies. In 2011, Dr. Moshgbar spearheaded the formalization of the Intelligence Based Manufacturing concept for Pfizer. The PGS Executive Team has approved Dr. Moshgbar’s implementation roadmap as an overarching vision and technology strategy. The successful demonstration and plant implementation of these transformational technologies have placed Pfizer at the forefront of the field, generating significant interest from the pharmaceutical industry and the FDA. In an effort to accelerate the uptake of advanced technologies across the entire industry, Dr. Moshgbar founded the Pfizer/Intellicentic collaborative venture in 2013. With participation from a number of key technology and equipment providers, her platforms are being made available to other manufacturing companies. Intellicentic solutions include unique Cyber & Virtual technologies for DoE, product development, troubleshooting, and hands on training.Dr. Moshgbar holds BSc (Hon) degrees in Physics, and Astrophysics; Master’s degrees in Semiconductor Physics, and Robotics, Automation and Artificial Intelligence; and a Ph.D. in Process Modeling, Advanced Control, and Real Time Optimization. She has been a certified Six Sigma Black Belt since 2005, and has a number of patents in Europe and the United States. Prior to joining Pfizer, she held a number of senior technical positions in industry and academia, developing advanced manufacturing solutions for the Automotive, Steel, Original Equipment Manufacturing, and Consumer Product sectors. Many of the systems she designed during this time have been implemented by a diversity of Fortune500 companies. ................
