Two recently identified mensural faburdens are: a single-voice Aspergus in GB-Lbl Lansdowne 462, f.1v; and, in GB-BEV DDHU 19/2, f.IV Bv, the bottom part of a three-voice [Sancta Maria vir]go in plainchant notation (decorated faburden); in both, the chant would fit in the treble at the upper octave. ................
