Please be in the wrestling room no later than the time listed on the calendar, or you may not be allowed to test. You will need to leave your personal items, phones, and any other electronics in the holding area. It will be secured during testing. You may not have phones, other electronics, or any personal items in the mezzanine exam room. You may bring a clear water bottle with the label removed. If you want to use your own calculator and/or pen, you must give them to the proctor in the holding area before entering the exam room. Please use the restroom and take care of any personal business before the exam. You may be allowed to go to the restroom during the exam. However, the restroom is not very close, and you will lose valuable testing time. You must also be accompanied by a test proctor while you are out of the exam room. Please be sure to eat before your exams. Taking an exam on an empty stomach is not good for anyone. Sack lunches will be available in the wrestling room before all morning exams. MNPS AICE Testing Requirements:Students are required to take the AICE exams for each AICE course in which they are enrolled. This includes completing all required exam components.Students who take AICE exams are exempt from their regular semester exams in their AICE classes and do not have to attend their class semester exam period. However, if a student fails to complete any component of their AICE exam, they lose the semester exam exemption – even seniors! Students must take the AICE exam for the additional points per MNPS grading policy. This means that students who fail to sit for or complete their Cambridge exams will be stripped of the five extra points on each of their nine-week averages. They will also receive a 50 for their semester exam grade. This will impact their semester averages and their overall GPA. For seniors this may affect their graduation status. Students must be mindful that some Cambridge exams will be in the final weeks of May and the first week of June. If a student misses a component of their exam without an excuse that is permitted by Cambridge, they will lose the five points on their nine-week grades, and they will receive a 50 for their semester exam grade. Do not make summer travel plans until you know when your Cambridge exams will be held. Because these exams may affect grades and GPAs, graduating seniors will not receive their diplomas until they have completed their testing obligations. They will still participate in graduation exercises; however, they will not get their actual diploma until they complete their final AICE exams. ................
