Unit shall be a factory-assembled packaged unit, with a single frame and using a direct expansion system driven by an electric compressor. The rooftop shall be air-to-air type, meaning the outdoor side heat exchanger will allow heat transfer with 100% outdoor air. The unit shall be designed to permanently handle 100% recirculated air with the possibility of partly or fully mixing with fresh air, in accordance with the ErP?regulation No 2016/2281.All units shall be factory assembled wired, fully charged with refrigerant and run-tested before leaving the factory. Internal wiring is colored and numbered for simplified identification. Regulatory complianceAll units shall be CE-certified comply with minimum seasonal space efficiency requirements according to the ErP?regulation No 2016/2281. Performance CertificationUnits shall be certified under the Eurovent Certification under the Rooftop (RT) programme. For operation in ambient temperatures below 10°C, the unit shall be equipped with a Low Ambient option. For operation in ambient temperatures above 15°C, the unit shall be equipped with a High Ambient option.In heating mode, the unit shall be able to operate between 20°C and -15°C ambient temperature, and 5°C and 26°C return mixed air temperature. Cabinet casingUnit casing shall be constructed of zinc coated, heavy-gauge, galvanized steel. All exterior components shall be mounted in a weather resistant steel cabinet and painted with a polyester white RAL 9002 powder paint. Where top cover seams exist, they shall be double hemmed and gasket sealed to prevent water leakage. Cabinet construction shall allow easy to all key components. The indoor air section shall be fully insulated with a double wall panel and glass wool with 50mm thickness and density according to norm DIN EN 1602. Insulation shall be self-maintaining. Indoor air supply fansSupply fans shall use EC plug fan technology with variable speed technology. The indoor fans shall be able to modulate according to the space thermal load, therefore providing adequate comfort levels while reducing energy consumption when the building load is below the design load. Impeller shall be made of sheet aluminum, while support plates and brackets shall be constructed in galvanized steel. All motors shall be equipped with a thermal overload protector internally connected.FiltersUnits shall be provided with double filtration with easy rail access. G4 (65% Coarse) pre-filters shall be provided as standard, with the option to upgrade to one of the following filter grade combinations:G4+F7 (65% Coarse + ePM1 55%)F5+F7 (85% Coarse + ePM1 55%)G4+F9 (65% Coarse + ePM1 80%)Free coolingThe unit shall be equipped with a 2-damper economizer system, assembled in the factory. The economizer shall be able to modulate between 0% and 100% damper opening, to allow for fresh air management and free cooling during mid-season. The economizer assembly includes: fully modulating 0-100 percent motor and dampers, regulated by an independent ModBus controller device, minimum position setting, preset linkage, wiring harness, and differential enthalpy control. DehumidificationThe unit shall be capable of dehumidifying the supply air when the humidity level exceeds a predetermined threshold. The dehumidification cycle shall begin only when the desired room temperature setpoint is reached, and when the unit is operating in cooling mode. The post-heating stage shall be performed by an auxiliary heater fitted inside the unit.Barometric relief damper The unit shall be provided with a barometric relief damper. The barometric relief damper shall deliver space pressure equalization and be gravity closing to prohibit entrance of outside air during the equipment "off" cycle.EC exhaust fanEC exhaust fan shall be optional. It shall be available as a factory installed option. It shall assist the barometric relief damper in maintaining building pressurization. General – refrigerant circuitUnits shall operate with HFC-based R410A refrigerant with a GWP of 2088. The option to operate on R454B refrigerant with a GWP below 500 shall be provided.Each refrigerant circuit shall have independent electronic expansion devices, service pressure ports and refrigerant line filter driers factory-installed as standard. An area shall be provided for replacement suction line driers. Refrigeration circuits shall be protected against refrigerant leak. Service valves shall be provided as standard and located on the low pressure side of the refrigeration pressor sectionUnits shall be equipped with scroll type compressors in tandem, equipped with intermediate discharge valves for higher part load efficiency. Compressors shall be direct-drive, hermetic with self-lubrication. Internal temperature and current sensitive motor overloads shall be included for maximum protection. Each compressor shall be protected by an external discharge temperature thermostat, winding temperature thermostat and reverse rotation/phase loss protection. Each compressor shall be provided with a direct on line starter, factory mounted, wired and tested. Compressor soft starter shall be an available as an option. Outdoor air condenser/evaporator fansRooftop unit shall be equipped with axial condenser fan and motors with permanently lubricated ball bearings. Fans motors shall be class F, powered through an IP54 terminal box. The fan motors shall be permanently lubricated and shall have built-in thermal overload protection. EC fans shall be provided as an option.It shall be possible to duct the outdoor air fans in case of restrictive installations.Heat exchangersThe outdoor air heat exchanger shall operate on 100% outdoor air. The coil will be constructed with 5/16" copper tubes mechanically bonded to plate aluminum plate fins. For cooling only (IC) models, the heat exchanger shall be of microchannel technology type. The indoor air heat exchanger coils shall be 3/8"internally finned copper tubes mechanically bonded to high performance aluminum plate fins. Indoor coils shall be protected with an anti-frost control protection.Indoor and outdoor heat exchangers will be tested for leaks in the factory at 45 and 50 bars, respectively.Sloped condensate drain pans are standard and provided in full aluminum, and shall be completely removable for trouble-free maintenance. If the unit will be installed in a corrosive environment, an option shall be provided for aluminum fins pre-coated with gold epoxy, with minimum thickness of 8?m, in order to withstand 1000 hours of salt spray test according to ISO 9227.Protection grilles shall be provided as an option for the outdoor heat exchanger, in order to protect the coil against clogging and damage caused by hail. Hot water coilThis option shall be factory mounted and placed in the heating section. It shall be shipped with one 3-way valve, 0 to 100% modulating built-in control and anti-freeze protection. When integrated into a reversible unit, the option to select the hot water coil as the primary source of heat shall be provided.Electric heatersThis option shall be factory mounted and placed in the heating section. Electric heater elements shall connected for 380 and 415 volt. Staging shall be achieved through the unit controller. Each heater package shall have automatically reset high limit control operating through heating element contactors. All heaters shall be individually fused from factory, where required.Modulating gas burnerA pre-mixed condensing gas burner shall be provided as an option. The burners shall be fully compliant with ErP Regulation No 2016/2281 for warm air heaters. Control will be modulating type in order to adapt the heat output to the building thermal load. It shall be capable of modulating between 20% and 100% of its nominal rated capacity. The gas burner module(s) shall be fully assembled in the rooftop unit, and shipped as a single packaged unit. It shall be controlled by the unit controller based on thermal load demand and ventilation requirements. Each assembly shall include: a ventilating burner, a combustion chamber, two burners (pilot and main), a single electrode to detect the flame, and integrated safety thermostats. Units equipped with a gas burner shall also include an exhaust flue system compliant with local regulations. All units shall be suitable for use with natural gas or propane.Energy recovery module (ERM)The unit shall be equipped with a heat recovery module. The module shall be provided in one single package which is easy to install without the requirement for an additional roofcurb in downflow configuration. Controls - GeneralThe resident control algorithms shall make all heating, cooling and/or ventilating decisions in response to electronic signals from sensors measuring indoor and outdoor temperatures. The control algorithm maintains accurate temperature control, minimizes drift from set point and provides better building comfort. The unit controller shall provide anti-short cycle timing and time delay between compressors to provide a higher level of machine protection. Heat pump units shall manage alternate defrost cycles based on demand defrost logic. Electrical panelUnit shall be powered by 400V/3/50Hz supply (no neutral) on a single point of power connection. Units shall be completely factory wired with necessary controls and terminal block for power wiring. Units shall provide an external location for mounting a fused disconnect device. The unit controller shall be provided for all 24V control functions.Unit shall be provided with a IP54 power panel, with a single point connection with disconnect switch. The disconnect switch shall be mechanically interlocked to disconnect line power from power panel, accessible from the outside the unit. All components and control cables shall be numbered in accordance with CEI 60750. An electrical service entrance shall allow access to route all high and low voltage electrical wiring inside the curb, through the bottom (vertically) and through the side (horizontally) of the outdoor section of the unit and into the control box area.Room thermostat – THP05Unit shall be provided with a wall-mounted room interface which will allow to view the unit operating mode and status, adjust temperature setpoints and create and manage a scheduler. Interface shall be an LCD touchscreen. The scheduler function will allow to define a daily schedule in accordance with the occupancy status of the building. Option shall be provided for limited access with password protection. Temperature sensor shall be embedded. Service terminalThe unit shall be provided with a plug-and-play remote service terminal (PGD) with a graphical display. It shall be compatible with the fresh air and free cooling functions.Fire thermostatManually resettable high temperature thermostats shall provide input to the unit controls to shut down the system if the temperature measured is 57°C at the return or 115°C at the discharge.Phase monitoring relayThe phase monitoring relay shall detect phase loss, phase reversal and phase imbalance from main power supply. In case of fault, the unit shall stop.Thermostats and zone sensorsThe thermostats and zone sensors shall be provided to interface with the CH536 unit controller and shall be available in either manual or automatic programmable mode with system malfunction lights or remote sensor options.Service Access Electrical control box access panel, filter access panel and supply fan access panel shall be locked by ? turn locks as standard for ease of unit service.
