LIEUTENANT COLONEL TANYA J. IWANENKO

Lt Col Tanya Iwanenko is the Squadron Commander, 38th

Student Squadron, Air Command and Staff College, Maxwell

AFB, AL. In this capacity, she is responsible for the morale, health

and welfare of 250 active, reserve, guard, sister service, and

international officers within the Intermediate Developmental

Educational program. In this position, she provides instruction,

professional development, and mentorship to officers within the

profession of arms, while setting the conditions for a positive

environment conducive to inspiring lifelong learning.

Lt Col Iwanenko was commissioned through the Air Force

Reserve Officer Training Corps at Ohio University in 2006, where

she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning. She

earned a doctorate in Organizational Leadership from NorthCentral University in Prescott, Arizona and holds a master¡¯s

degree in Human Relations.

Lt Col Iwanenko is a Joint Qualified Officer and a Senior Air Battle Manager with 1,500 flying hours

in the E-3B/C and the MU-2. She has flown combat missions in support of Operation Enduring

Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve.
