ACT 4 Global Change

K to 5 registered to take part in the ACT 4 Global Change Challenge for the month of February!

This challenge is a competition for elementary schools across the Atlantic region where schools do as

many ACTivities for global change. CHS was acknowledged as the runner up for the 2016 challenge.

Here are JUST SOME of our ACTS of Kindness.

Doing a kind act is PAYING IT FORWARD!

You have the ability and opportunity to positively affect someone’s life. Flyers were posted around the school. Each flyer held a variety of thoughtful acts printed on tickets. Participants tore off a ticket and performed the act. Helping Fill the Shelves at the Food Bank K > 5

Making a Difference with Muffins: grades 2/3 sold muffins and lemonade to raise money for the Grandmothers Helping Grandmothers Foundation, which provides support to some of the millions of grandmothers in Africa who are raising their grandchildren, orphaned by HIV/AIDS.

K-2 two also visited Dow’s Special Care Home to say thank you for the contributions residents have made to our community.

K to 5 students performed 662 Acts of Kindness out in the community and at home.
