1. Introduction

The following piece of Patient and Public Involvement work has been carried out by the Allergy Immunology Clinic at University Hospital of North Durham and highlights the commitment of the department to seek and act upon the view of users of their service.

80 completed questionnaires were received into the Clinical Governance Department for analysis and reporting.

2. Summary of findings

Full results and comments can be found in section 3.

➢ All respondents were satisfied with the answers, explanations and advice they received during their appointments.

➢ Most respondents found attending the clinic very useful, and the rest thought it was useful.

|Very prompt and pleasant treatment by all staff. Doctor was very helpful and clear in explanation - also very thorough. The spec. nurse was |

|very good at taking blood - very competent. |

|immunologist at Preston, he was quite good but nowhere near as good as Dr Lilic. |

|gave me some direction instead of being passed from doctor to doctor. |

|Dr Lilic asked lots of questions and provided me with information relating to my skin allergy tests. I was put at ease and felt that she |

|understood all my symptoms and gave advice on how to prevent further problems. My visit to this department today has put my mind at ease. |
