Lesson Plan Format

Descriptive title for lesson: Letter Sounds

Subject: Language Level: 3yrs

Instructional Goal: Children will use spoken language including their home language or Standard English for a variety of purposes relating to real experiences and different audiences.

Previous Knowledge: They can recite the alphabet.

Lesson Pre-Assessment: Ask students to identify letters using an alphabet chart.

Rationale for Teaching Strategies Selected: The reason for choosing the strategies is because students will learn from the known to unknown. (Learner- related)

Objectives Organized by Domain: The preschoolers will be able to pronounce letters using flash cards. The letters that will be taught is (I, F, E, K, J) (Cognitive domain)

Summative Assessment: After the closure the teacher will call upon students and ask them to pronounce a letter that was taught. Some of the questions that could be asked are:

• Who can tell us the sound of the letter F?

• Can anyone tell us what letter makes the sound (I)?

• This will continue until all the letters is reviewed and assess?

Contingency Plan: If the technology fails, the teacher will sing the song.
