EVENT INFORMATIONEvent: Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity VolleyballDate: Friday, September 11, 2020 Teams Participating: Kent City & Lakeview (Big Rapids -- Freshmen) Event Location/Address: Kent City High School/ 351 N. Main St. Kent City MI 49330Event Schedule: Freshmen vs. Big Rapids 4:00 pm. (3 sets guaranteed) J.V. vs. Lakeview 5:30 p.m. (3 sets guaranteed) Varsity vs. Lakeview 7:00 p.m.*Warm-Ups will be 4-4-4-4. Visiting Team will serve first. Teams will not switch benches in between sets unless it is determined there is a distinct advantage. *Game times are tentative. TEAM/STUDENT ATHLETE INFORMATIONBus Parking: Please tell your drivers to park in the lot located on the west side of the high school (behind the High School). This lot can be accessed by using the northern most drive on Peach Ridge Ave. Arrival/Locker Room: Plan on arriving 30 minutes prior to game time. Please come dressed and ready to play. Locker rooms should be used for bathrooms only. Lakeview J.V. and Varsity – Boys Team RoomBig Rapids Freshmen – Girls Team Room The gym will be cleared after each game for cleaning. Teams may enter the building, spectators may not until warm-ups for the next game begin. Players from the freshman and junior varsity games are encouraged to leave at the conclusion of their contest. Face Covering: Everyone present, including players must wear a face covering per the MHSAA. Pre-Game Screening: All players, coaches, and bench personnel must be screened prior to the start of the game using the screening tool from the MHSAA as well as a temperature check with a thermometer. Anyone showing displaying any symptoms or with temperature of 100.3 or higher, MUST STAY HOME! Coaches should be ready to confirm their team has completed this screening prior to the start of the game. Rosters & Guest Lists: Please send your team roster including 2 guests per player by Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. I have included a form for your team with this information. Guests on the list may stay for the team they are listed on only. The gym will be cleared for cleaning following each contest. Warm-ups may begin once cleaning is finished and the gym is opened for the next group. Pre-Game/Post Game: No pre or post game handshakes will be allowed. Substitutions: When a player enters or exits the court she should use hand sanitizer provided by her team. Volleyballs: A 3 ball rotation will be used. Players should be the only ones to touch the volleyballs. We will ask that players shag volleyballs. We will disinfect volleyballs at the scorers table. Team Bench: A modified team bench will be used to allow for social distancing. MEDICAL INFORMATION First Responders: Kent City Fire Department will be on site.Hydration Information: Athletes need to bring their own water. Water will not be provided. Ice: We will have ice available if needed.Hand Sanitizer/Med-Kit: Each team is responsible for their own hand sanitizer and med kits. Towels: Each school is responsible to bring towels to wipe up sweat off the floor; host schools are recommended to provide a roll of paper towels at the scorer’s table.SPECTATOR INFORMATIONSpectator Entry Fee: Adults $5.00, Students (K-12): $3.00, Golden Age Passes AcceptedWe will not have a cashbox – please bring exact change!!!! – Each guest must be listed on your team’s roster or they will not be allowed in. Per state law – 2 spectators per participant. Face Coverings and Social Distancing: Everyone will be expected to wear a face covering or they will be asked to leave. We also ask that those not living in the same household maintain proper socially distancing. Spectator Seating: Spectators should sit on the south side of the gym. Spectator Parking: Spectators should park in the lot located between the middle school and high school. While you are waiting for your game to begin, please wait in your car and we will alert you when we are ready for the next group to begin entering the gym. Team buses should use the red line. Spectators should follow the blue line. Concession Stand: A concession stand will not be available.
