|Role of Team |Responsible for the development of high quality Māori language and English language content for publication. |

|Role Purpose |The Senior Content Developer will produce high quality Te Reo Maori concepts and content for publication by |

| |conducting research, and completing concept plans, content and provider briefs. |

| | |

| |The Senior Content Developer will facilitate and contribute to content development by working collaboratively |

| |with service providers, contributors, and other team members. |

| | |

| |When required, the Senior Content Developer will provide guidance and advice to service providers and |

| |contributors, and will conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the content produced is of high quality. |

| | |

| |At times the Senior Content Developer will coach, provide feedback to and supervise other team members to further|

| |develop their content development skill set. |

| | |

| |Reporting to the Publishing Manager, this role will be required to work on multiple projects, to a production |

| |schedule, led by a Project Manager or Sponsor. |

Education, Skills, Knowledge, Experience

Has experience in developing content for a range of mediums. Has Māori language fluency and effective English language communication skills. Has educational theory and practice in Māori medium educational settings. Has experience in developing content for the digital environment, and/or using a broad range of digital tools and resources. Has the ability to recognise effective content across genres and for varied audiences and mediums. Demonstrates an ability to recognise effective writing in Māori language and English language children’s fiction and non-fiction publications. Has an understanding of target audiences’ needs (e.g. the type of illustrations that will appeal; the appropriate level of language).

Has experience and knowledge in literacy development.
