Role Purpose The role covers the efficient setting up, running and maintenance of the various aspects of the bottling lines, including depalletiser, filling machine, labelling machine, packing and palletiser. Filling and packaging of wine to specification.Key Tasks and ExpectationsKey TaskExpectationsOperations:Bottling of wine/ PackingCleaning and sterilization – consistent and correct cleaning and sanitisation of bottling equipment to specified standardAccurately set up, run and close down the filtration, depalletising, rinsing, filling, capping, corking, printing, coding, conveyors, labelling, packing, palletising and inspection equipment for all compatible types of bottle, closures and cartons as per standard operating procedures.Wine handling – demonstrate the ability to uphold wine quality and follow wine handling procedures consistently and correctly.Collect, label and deliver relevant bottling/packaging samples to the laboratory team as specifiedTroubleshooting – demonstrate initiative, logic and an eye for detail that ensures packaged wine leaves the bottling line in spec and of the highest standard Documentation:Documentation –consistently follow the bottling specification correctly and in a timely manner. This involves the correct use, understanding and completion of-Product specificationsRelated WineWorks proceduresBottling/packaging Order FormsBottling/packaging Operation Sheets, pre bottling information and data collection during operationProduct quality checklists and data recording pre, during and post bottlingNon-conformance reportingHygiene recordsOH & S reportingMaintenance and Housekeeping:Maintenance – demonstrate a level of mechanical aptitude such that machines can be adjusted, modified and repaired during bottling to ensure efficient running and high quality productConduct maintenance of bottling/packaging equipment under the supervision of maintenance engineers or team leadersMaintain the cleanliness of WineWorks vehicles and bottling/packaging equipment to a high standard.Health and SafetyAll Team Members:All Team Members are required to observe safe work practices and rules relating to their work at all times, to ensure their own safety and that of others. In particular Team Members will:Use plant, equipment, vehicles and materials safely an in the manner ply with all legislation, training, information and any instruction given by their municate health and safety issues or concerns directly with their employer.Report and control all hazards, accidents or safety incidents observed in the workplace immediately.Report any pain or discomfort as soon as possible.Take an active role in workplace health and safety including participating at meetings, training and other health and safety related activities when offered.Correctly use and store any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety devices provided by the employer. Food SafetyTo follow the requirements of the site food safety and HACCP Plan. Knowledge of CCP’s and training is required (For operations staff).Follow the requirements of food safety standards and certification standards, e.g. BRC Global Standard, WSMP, SWNZ and company policies and procedures.Ensure food safety, allergen and regulatory requirements are adhered to in all products.Carry out tasks in a hygienic manner that protects the products as per the hygiene policy.Quality & LegalityQuality checks – demonstrate the ability to perform quality checks to specification at the start of the bottling run prior to commencement, and then hourly to ensure the bottling is occurring to specification.
